mitcheg1[TX]
Let's discuss the Specialist! Obviously he has a black Pauldron, much like a Sandy. I would think the trooper bay version should be adequate. The MP40 ammo pouch is all leather with black stitching. Unfortunately Trooper Bay's is canvas with white stitching. The ammo belt seems similar to the FOTK variant, but attaches to the 4 triangular clips on the armor with a strap that wraps around the back, just under the TD. 4 of the 6 pouches have a hard plastic cover with two of them having a diagonal seam on them. The two pouches in the center are strictly fabric (everthing appears to be elastic) with the "pouches" for the 3 grenades attached to them. Does anyone have an idea what the ammo packs are that are in the pouches? 2 Link to comment
marktoots[501st]
I remember reading on another post what the magazines were. I'll see if I can find it! It may have been the same HK weapon as the stock on the e-11 variant but I'll confirm. Sent from my SM-G800F using Tapatalk Link to comment
marktoots[501st]
Found it. One of the guys from the UKG identified them. They are heckler and koch g3 magazines https://www.hkparts.net/shop/pc/HK-91-G3-Magazines-Mag-Clamps-Loader-c111.htm Sent from my SM-G800F using Tapatalk 1 Link to comment
marktoots[501st]
As you said the grenades look to be retained by elastic straps that form a t-shape. A horizontal strap that passes around the middle of the grenade with a vertical strap sewn onto it centre front which then passes under the grenade. The webbing straps for the ammo belt wrap around the D-Rings and are then thread back through the sliding adjusters on the straps themselves. This will allow them to be securely held in place and provide a means for adjusting the height of the belt itself. In fact, looking at them again there is a locking mechanism on the back of those adjusters. You can see it on the left strap (the trooper's right) in the picture with the ST doll. Also in that picture you can make out the clipping mechanism for the strap that passes around his back (under his left arm). It reminds me of a clipping mechanism I have seen on scuba equipment to secure the air tank onto a bad or stab jacket. Something like this: Sent from my SM-G800F using Tapatalk Link to comment
mitcheg1[TX]
Excellent find! Now who is going to buy one of those magazines and mold it up? 😃 Link to comment
TheDon[501st]
The mags are cheap enough to just buy them. Heck I might buy a few and then eventually buy the rifle. https://www.cheaperthandirt.com/product/mag-h-and-k-g3-762x51mm-aluminum-20-round-original-military-mag-304.do Buy now before the price sky rockets Link to comment
DeadpoolTK11686[TX]
I'm in for the first set of casted ones that are possibly offered as I cannot order those shipped to CA. I can however receive inoperable so if anyone has the ability to do that to them, I would reimburse, it would be cool to have the real thing vs cast if possible. K@nne
Guys, someone asserted that his chest rig should be the base for the DT ammo belt. What is your opinion, could this be a good base start for the belt? Link to comment
marktoots[501st]
Who is the supplier/manufacturer? It could be a good base but will need modifications to the straps etc which may mean it is easier to build from scratch! I'd be interested in seeing more images. marktoots[501st]
Actually I am going to withdraw part of my last statement. Having had a closer look, it's a Condor Chest Rig 1051 by the way, I think that it actually wouldn't take much to modify it and having done a closer comparison eith the DT image I suspect that it is the basis for the screen rig. mitcheg1[TX]
Need thoughts on Potential vendors for the specialist's pauldron. Trooper bay looks pretty good, but concerned it may be too small and too stiff. Link to comment
mitcheg1[TX]
Upon further review. Their pauldron isn't adequate. Seems along the actual DT that are not present on theirs! 2 Link to comment

marktoots[501st]
Has anyone found these items yet. Also, so far the tactical belt slides I've seen from others are too small compared to this one, which appears to be almost 2" wide and chrome  With regard to the first picture I have not managed to find anything that matches the dimensions yet. It is in fact to parts: a ladder lock buckle and a hook. With regard to the d-ring the one that I am casting from is as far as I can tell the correct dimensions to that used on the costume and has a width of 60mm. Yes the real part is aluminium as are the real parts used to form the buckle and d-ring assembly on the shoulder.
