NEED YOUR HELP problem with approval chest armor and crl´s

Dear fellow scouts.

 

My shadow ist recently under approval of our GMO´s. I´ve already recieved feedback from the GMO.

 

He claims, the upsidedown "V" notch on my chest armor. He sais the notch is not mentioned in the CRL´s. Also the refeence pic in the CRL´s does not show a notch.

 

 

I explained him, that basicly the CRL´s are the same as the regular biker scout. These CRL´s are the same as he shadow scout. They don´t mention the noch, and also the pic does not show the notch. Never the less it´s screen accurate and I only know approved 501st bikers, which have the notch on the armor. I even know members with lancer level, who have the notch.

 

 

I have researched for reference pic´s of the shadow scout here in the detachment as wes as on the internet, and all the referenc pic´s show the notch:

 

 

What do you think?!

In germany we only have one approved further active shadow scout. she does not have this notch. How ist your experience?! ...notch or not?!

 

I explained to the GMO it´s screen accurate and i find the CRL´s are not totaly correct. Bu to be honest, the CRL´s are very undetailed ...so many details are not mentioned or incorrect and the notch is just not mentioned, so it´s not phorbidden right?!

The notch is fine but is not required. CRLs are to act as a guide, not a bible. Have your GML touch base with us, and we will help him understand.

oh many thanks for your promt reply ...in the meanwhile I could clear it out. I´ve also send him original pics from episode 6. He said he was not sure anymore if the notch is screen accurate.

So this problem is solved.

Very tidy scout indeed. I think the notch is a great touch that makes it even more screen accurate. You should pass with flying colors. Nice work!

Inofficially I got the info that I'm accepted, but I have to wait for the official e-mail, which did not arrive till yet.

Helmet and armor are from chef and the assembly of both was done by my boyfriend. The full softparts incl. Shoes I've completly made by myselfe in my studio. Only the balaklava-thing, the gloves and the base for the boots are bought.

I'm thonking about to apply also for specialist. Your words give me confidence to do that also

Hint....hint Griffin is a Specialist and knows the scout inside and out. If there is anyone that can give you advice on what you need to do he's the one. I'll be bending his ear once I go for Specialist too.

Nope, they are not. Their updated Lancer standards are not what we follow. They are close, but they have recently added some things that are "questionable". If you need any tips/tricks, just let me know.

Unfortunately there was made a little mistake and they listed me as a TB instead of TX ...but they gonna change that

So tomorrow I will have a perfect premiere tomorrow on my first troop with my shadow.

After 3 days of german comic con and troop I'm finally back under the living. On saturady I had my first troop with my shadow and it was a blast! So many 501st colleagues came and told me how much they liked my shadow, as well as visitors and photographs. I'm still waiting for some pics to come these days, then I'm goimg to update you guys with pics.

Trooping with my shadow was so much fun. It's sucj a comfy costume and the helmet has an awesome view. ...this is definetly gonna be my favorite costume.

In the meantime I'm starting to sort out eveything for the specialist program.

That is so awesome! Glad you had a good time and the pics are great! You should start a thread over in the "Kill Count" forum and record your troops there so everyone can see.
