Painting ANOVOS thermal detonator

Hello, since the TD is grey, I bought some black gloss spray paint that is primer+paint. Do I need to sand the PVC before I paint it and what is the recommended grit if so?

It depends on your paint. I got one that is for plastics and did 5-6 layers.

 

Sanding will help with the grip of the paint, but it can lend to a not-so-smooth finish. You will need to do MANY layers to get a smooth look.

 

If you can, test the paint out on a spare or extra piece of PVC.
