izzi[TX]
Well we got official word on the snow scout the other day. Still working on other armors. So the detachment is starting to push things forward and at least get answers. (Even if we don't like them!) -iz Link to comment
Chef[501st]
And what was the official word? Sorry for the off topic. I know there was some controversy over the differences between the concept artwork and the released hasbro toy. Personally I'm in favor of the snowie/scout hybrid rather than the plain white scout of the toy. Link to comment
izzi[TX]
Official word can be found here: http://forum.specops501st.com/index.php?/topic/40-snow-scout-snow-commando/page__st__100 Link to comment

SL/TX-9162[501st]
If I can get a belt to swap, and modify my lens to be interchangeable... I might like to build a Weir. Ho do you tackle the bandoleers though? Link to comment
izzi[TX]
Ho do you tackle the bandoleers though? You need to go back to the roots of costuming and build them from scratch. -iz Link to comment
SL/TX-9162[501st]
I do not believe that would be too bad... It's more about what a good base is, and how to achieve the shapes on the bandoleers. Some looks like pouches others look allot different. Link to comment
izzi[TX]
Shadow's build thread has what he used. -iz Link to comment
bscheff[501st]
The rule of three was a rule under one LMO years ago. Thomas never used it and clearly stated multiple times. The current LMOs do not require 3 references either. Like Thomas, all they require are clear 360 degree images of the costume being reviewed. If you hear a GML spouting the rule of three, after this much time has past, might want to ask them to visit the GML forums every now and then. -iz So it only took what three months, lol, but I remembered where I kept seeing this "rule of 3." The Flagship Eclipse has it right on their homepage. I know it doesn't exist, and I mentioned it to Torment at SWW and he reaffirmed that it doesn't exist, but someone must have forgotten to tell Flagship lol. Anyway, I just wanted to show you that I'm not totally nuts lol. Link to comment
kwdesigns[501st]
Maybe one day in the far future I could attempt to build this character. Only because we share the same last name.... How coo is that! Kevin Weir Link to comment
Darth Agnon[501st]
Sounds like it is your destiny. Link to comment
troopre[TX]
You need to go back to the roots of costuming and build them from scratch. -iz I know that feeling, and I can say that with the different builds people have, you can not expect one bandolier to necessarily fit another person (working on mine now... Oy!!) You need to custom fit it to yourself. Segment sizes and belt widths will vary depending on the person. Doubt mine will be ready for DC (but my other plans will be set in motion...)
