Once upon a time...

Recommended Posts

One year ago, my project of a shadow biker began. I have had many problems during this time ... the main one has been not being able to dedicate all the time that I wanted. At small moments I was doing things.. step by step.

The assembly of the helmet was very complicated and I had to undo everything and start new several times. Little by little I have been making the pieces of cloth myself. With some problem too, because I made the patterns myself and I had to correct measures when the piece was finished.

Currently, although i still have to make the boots ... I know I'm already very close to the end ... and I'm very happy.

Now i can see that I will be able to send my photos and to be another member of the 501st in a short time!

I show you a "little gallery" of the project...

Hace un año empezó mi proyecto de un shadow biker.

He tenido muchos problemas durante este tiempo... el principal ha sido no poder dedicarle todo el tiempo que yo quería. A pequeños ratos iba haciendo cosas... poco a poco.

nice work and looking good!

a few thing you need to change or adjust for basic approval:

~ you have to get some new visor bolts for the helmet

~ cummerbund does not go behind the belt .. it sits just on top of it

~ the chest and back armor are not joined with a button/magnet, rather it is a velcro and fabric joining system (ill post pics below)

and for specialist (lvl2) you will need to change or adjust:

~ remove the mesh from the ears on the helmet

~ remove the rivets from the holster that are on the outside -- ill post pics below

~ remove the 2 rivets from the belt on the side and make the belt look like one piece

all the suggestions i mention above are from our crl ... http://databank.501s...TX_shadow_scout

some other suggestions you might consider:

~ the drop boxes should be 1-2 inches below the belt

~ pouches look a little big ... they should be 6 x 5 x 2 = H x W x D

this would allow your belt to be raised up(it should not sit on your hips) and show more of the cod piece ... and this will shorten your cummerbund too

heres a style of strapping for the armor bridge ... you can use something different but, it needs to be fabric

note: the velcro hanging from the side is for the shoulder bell .. some people use a zip tie and zip tie base for this instead of velcro

Thanks a lot for your comments.

On the armor bridge I use a similar system that you show, but i use snaps. Only I didn't insert the photo.

This is my first armor, so i'm not really looking for the lvl2 but to make/build the pieces i have searched/read/asked in the forum of my national Garrison and in a whatsapp bikers group.

Thanks again!8bbef3e557d169c6ec66c615dc97c8c2.jpgdd78befe78b8fef370d75af9efd553df.jpg

nice!

thats a different method than what i have seen and it looks good too!

and i forgot to add that if your looking for the correct bolts for the helmet visor there is a trusted vendor over on the pathfinder who sells them, just follow his instructions in his first post. heres the link http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showtopic=10270

look forward to seeing your finished build.

very good! is that a craft foam lining in the boots?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yes. I put it (called "gomaeva" here) inside the boot because the skin I used to make the boots was very thin and thanks to it this part of the boot got more consistency and hardness to keep the holster and doesn't wrinkle like a sock
