Another boot question

Looking at the black ones (obviously), do they appear that they'd meet the requirements for a shadow stormtrooper?

Well, I ended up picking up a pair of those boots and got them in yesterday. They ended up being quite a bit pointier-toed than I was expecting... apparently I just didn't pay close enough attention to the original picture. I've got them here next to my TK boots... would they still look acceptable with this toe style, or no?

 

 

They don't go up quite as far up the ankles either as the boots for my TK. At rest when I put the shins on, they still look fine, though once I start walking then the shins push up and uncover the tops of the boots within a couple of steps... hopefully the elastic stirrup method that others have suggested would fix this, assuming the toe style wouldn't rule these out anyways.

I would say those black boots should be fine. The CRL pic actually looks a little on the pointier side as well. Stirrups would work to keep down or some velcro, either or.

Hi all, I'm new here. Sorry to reactivate this thread again. I'm putting together my Shadow Stormtrooper armor and am also looking for the boots. Did these boots end up being tall enough? They seem shorter than my white TK Boots. Thanks!

I ended up getting a pair of the BlackOps Imperial Boots. Those are exactly like my white TK Boots. Now I gotta finish the armor and submit photos for approval.

my TK boots are from Imperial Boots and I know they sell the black ones but their shop doesn’t up again until 5/24...but I know their quality is good obviously.  The sides on both of these are different and also different than Imperial Boots...looking for feedback on them or I should just wait to order next week

I think the eBay linked ones have a wide "u" stitching on them that could be considered "decorative stitching". The second link you posted looks more like the ones in the CRL. It is totally up to you I'd say at this point. You know the quality that comes with IB.

hey man, yeah i agree w/your points.  the 2nd link does look closer to the CRL/IB ones, the shop told me their Large size is a US 12.5 instead of just a 12...so i'm worried it might still be slightly big even w/an insole.  I am probably going to wait until next friday when IB opens back up to order...it just sucks that they don't ship until after the wave closes...so i'm prolly looking at sometime in june before they even ship to me...

i also noticed that the 2nd link's boots elastic 'U' area is a little different than IB's design...it's definitely closer than the eBay ones...
