Jason's DT build

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone Jason here, I just joined the site and could use your help. I have 3d printed my DT armor and have almost all the soft pieces (just need the gloves and boots), All my stl files came from cgtrader and I paid for each piece to be made. I also have Ukswrath's DT audio installed in the helmet with cooling fans. I need to see if I can alter what I have to pass or reprint what needs to be corrected, really wish I knew about this site earlier as I made the suit just to have it almost 6 months ago not thinking about the 501st lol.  Was in Disney world and met a few who reminded me about the 501st so here I am lol, Oh and part of my undersuit when in the sunlight around the armpits looks dark purple?

@nanotek @Chaos are you able to assist?

Ryan @IcyTrooperand Jason @Goromith, I am in Afghanistan right now. I will help as best I can:

Jason, can you take some good quality (light back ground with diffused bright front lighting) photos of you in your armor, no weapons.

Basic 501st submission photo poses would be best:

Front arms up and then down

Right side arms up and then down

Left side arms up and then down

back side arms up and then down.

I suggest after you take the photos that you upload them to a place like "imgur.com" the account is free and you can post them here using the BBCode link. It makes it easier to view the high quality photos you take and it doesn't use any forum server storage space.

I can already tell that some of your pieces need to be resized and/or adjusted but I can give you better guidance once I can see the updated photos.

I everything that I see, I am sure they can easily be fixed. With Mark's @nanotek help, we can get you "Good To Go!"

Welcome to the Spec Ops Forums and I will keep checking in.

Hi there, you're doing a fantastic job! I agree with @Chaos regarding the pics, it will definitely help to be able to see everything clearly, will need to be able to see the boots, pouches, leather pouch and holster.

Here are some quick observations!

  • The biceps don't quite look right in terms of shape, but they could be shifted up a bit so that they sit better under the shoulder.
  • The pants look a little baggy from that back pic, if you can take them in a bit so that there is no bunching that will help

Keep up the great work
