And here you can clearly see the width of the belt compared to the under belt

20200504_210657.thumb.jpg.23bc35f6ffe78b537de6b214577be600.jpg

And a bit closer so you can see the differences between the width of the Scout boxes, that leather strap holding them and the Officers belt

Here's some of the hidden bits in the over belt. the back part doesn't show any buckles or adjustments, but since most of it is covered anyways it wouldnt be hard to hide a buckle in there. as before the scout pouches are attached with magic. back strap of the hip pouch also has a magic attachment. Also worth noting is that in the 3d model the belt boxes are a single mesh/part, the rivets/separation of the 2 boxes on the side are shown in the textures so they are in "reality" separate parts attached with rivets.

And here is one of my favorite points with the over belt. That strap of the hanging box which is going underneath the belt on the back. To me it clearly looks like it is even going under the underbelt.20200501_234958.thumb.jpg.965796c76d20f96e22209056acb34e16.jpg

It is not attached on the same strap as the scout boxes are! And there also is no loop. In my opinion we can keep the loop option for L1 and a hidden attachement inside the officers belt for L2.

One thing i don't get is, why does the game clearly show that the endings of the plastic are close to the leather strap, but here they look apart from it. I am still confused with the 3D models? forgive me.

I think its only really noticeable from that artificial top-down view - from any normal angle it appears flush.

SqCooU2.jpg

also with the hip belt attachment, including the under belt doesn't make it any clearer either - the belts even overlap

I would make it a wearers option how to attache the scout pouches because it's not clear how they are attached. In my opinion they are hanging on the horizontal leather strap of the tactical vest20200504_214646.thumb.jpg.879ca9e9236828ac5c200911fe771a68.jpg20200421_200335.thumb.jpg.1005c1ef1943b2cf52a27c153f8371bd.jpg

It's not clear, so some weeks ago we already had that discussion. Maxime and i agreed with making it the wearers choice if it will be attached on the scout belt's strap or on the vest strap.

Im glad you pulled those shots.  I had that suspicion and you confirmed it.  if it was ME building it I would put it on with a Chicago screw (blind screw) on the Officer belt with the overbelt hiding that. It still passes under the officer belt and terminates just like the source graphic.    The game creators honestly made our jobs SO MUCH EASIER than we had it just a few years ago trying to figure out game bits, but "magic" doesn't help with mounting.

I agree with both of you that the scout pouches are hung from the chest rig back strap.   That said, if we go weaerers option, we need to define an L2, and further define for specialist.

I would like to write it that for L2 it is hung from the leather tac vest strap. which will also go for Specialist applicants.

Scout Style pouches

I would like to split out the Scout style pouches as a separate piece because I believe leaving it as a single line item will add confusion.  I believe it should have its own sub section.

PROPOSAL:

Scout Style Pouches

Two "scout" style pouches are made of black matte canvas or canvas like material

The  "scout" style pouches which are filled to appear full, and worn at the back of the belt.  The pouches will leave sufficient room for the Thermal Detonator mounted between them.

Pouches are proportional to the size of the wearer and match in-game references.

Pouches may be hung from the tactical vest waist strap, or from the over-belt strap, at the wearers choice.

OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable):

Scout style pouches match in game references.

Pouches are mounted to the tactical vest waist strap.

Bottom edge of the pouch flap is less than half the overall width of the pouch.

Pouch outer flap has a  stitch set back 5/16" (8mm) from the edge.

Ok, so would it be fair to say we are happy with the Change Log 1.1 and the pouch proposal?    lock those down and move on?

@areilly hey there. Could you give us the measures of the scout style pouches, please? ?

Getting the measurements was a bit tricky, since the model is bit lumpy/rounded off since the pouches are stuffed, so I tried to get an average measurement between the different sides and the left/right pouches

the Scout Trooper CRL has this:

Quote

Pouch size is ideally 6 inches high, 5 inches wide and 2 inches deep.
Bottom edge of the pouch flap is between 2 and 2.5 inches in width.

and that's pretty close to what I was getting from the model +/- 1cm, so I'd say we go with the same measurements

alight then, Ill make that change and update the CL for the scout pouch.
