Adjusted Shadow Stormtrooper CRL tonight for thighs and shins to read in Level 2:

"Must be constructed using the butt joint cover strip method."

Can adjust those 2 items to read the same.  This matches the biceps and forearms wording.

We should all do a spell, punctuation, and grammar check AND cross reference to the Shadow Stormtrooper CRL (side by side cross-check) for detailed wording alignment that may have been adjusted when it was published.  Other than that...details seem good to me.

Making marks for spelling/punctuation adjustment in red and some questions/things to check:

  • Gray is acceptable color for helmet tears?  Current CRL lists "solid black."
  • Lines are acceptable in rear traps and tears?  Current CRL lists "solid black."

Please do a side-by-side check as well to confirm I didn't miss anything.

Belt

OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable):
•    The corners of the black plastic ammo belt shall be trimmed at a 45 degree angle that meets the outer edge of the canvas belt.
•    The top of the ammo belt should sit at or just above the bottom of the central and vertical abdomen button panels.
•    Drop boxes must be attached using black elastic and must have full inner drop boxes to close the back. Flat covers are not allowed.
•    Drop boxes are vertically aligned with the end of the ammo belt with minimal gap between belt and box
•    No buttons are present on the belt

We may also have to revisit renaming the pauldron on the shadow stormtrooper to just "pauldron" and not "black pauldron" as that is redundant.

@Raider I'm in agreement that the traps and tears should be solid black. In the video games they are solid black and no line details.

@IcyTrooper  I wasn't necessarily saying it had to be black for Level 1.  Just noting that's what the original said.  I'd be ok with a dark gray and/or contrasting matte black for Level 1.  Lines (black) can be ok for Level 1 as well.  The look is achieved and I don't think a dark gray or matte black would deviate from that.  A standard or light gray would though and I would make sure that was clear.

Level 2...solid black should be good.

Alright I think I have all the discussed edits in the initial updated CRL. Looks like we have most of the pictures needed for the CRL as well.

An update was made to this CRL on 04/25/2021 for the following:

  • Added character description.
  • Added the ability to allow for a "slightly weathered" option on all gloss black part of the armor, NOT on the striping "flash". The bullet point on the striping "flash" was moved under the gloss black text.
  • Updated the helmet to allow for tears and traps to be either black (gloss/satin/matte) or dark gray, however, if dark gray is used then there needs to be black vertical lines present. We removed the L2 detail for black tears/traps due to the L1 change.
  • We also moved the holster to optional to match game reference images.
  • Reorganized the optional accessory section.
