I will update the list as I order and receive items. I am aiming for Level 2 Specialist as well after approval. Boots are gonna be a hard find because I was "blessed" with bigger feet! Any advice or good options I would appreciate! Credit to @Lt. Dan I liked his format Wish me luck! 2 1 Link to comment

I am always happy to help other mates with advice and tips. I myself have already received so much help here in the forum, it is always a pleasure. Great place, you won't be dissapointed! Looking forward to your build, maybe I can gain experiences from you as well? 2 Link to comment

RAIDER[COTG]
Rock and a hard place lol. I have a feeling it will work out. Looks like @Chaos gave you a few solid work-arounds that could possibly pan out. Link to comment
TheFireAwakens1807
Update #1 I took Darmans Prop's SE-14R Holster and modified to look more like the holster on the CRL for the Deathtrooper. I forgot to take pictures during the modification. What I did was remove the rivets holding the the straps off with a drill bit and then penciled a sketch of where I was gonna cut. Used a box cutter to trim the holster and riveted the straps and holster with some 5/16" x 1/2" double cap rivets. All I have to do is cover/hide the aluminum. Lt. Dan[501st]
Looks not bad, but from my understanding the upper loop should hold the barrel and the lower small one holds the scope. Therefore they must be offset to each other due to the design of the weapon. Yours are lined up, can´t work in my opinion!? Link to comment

It has a bit of give to move to fit the barrel but if anything, I'll replace it with a longer strap. 2 Link to comment
TheFireAwakens1807
Update #2 http://imgur.com/a/SLRKKeE Pre-trim http://imgur.com/a/rpKRIur Rough trimmed I picked up my fiberglass armor from Andres McClary (Plastic Arms Dealer) today and I'm overwhelmed and excited at the same time. Andrew gave me great tips and advice for continuing the build on my death trooper. He was very welcoming and friendly. While there, I also purchased a DLT-19 he had. http://imgur.com/a/y45MaMj Next to do is fine trimming the edges of the armor. 4 Link to comment
IcyTrooper[CMD-DL]
Nice trims thus far! Must be so cool to be able to go "in-store" to pick up something like that! 1 Link to comment
TheFireAwakens1807
Update #3 Been a minute however I did receive my under-suit in the mail! http://imgur.com/a/OSZKHX7 Thanks to Jim Tripon for the undersuit, pauldron, and assortment of items I ordered! Here are a few of the pictures. Let me know what you guys think! Undersuit http://imgur.com/a/hl5kQf8 http://imgur.com/a/kBmf3jY Pauldron http://imgur.com/a/8itr5iF Chest Rig & Pouch Covers (chest rig) http://imgur.com/a/9152747 The pouches need a little cleaning up but it shouldn't be an issue. NSM & Pouches (belt) http://imgur.com/a/efIDmEr The NSM feels hollow inside but I may change this cause I do want to get the LED in the NSM. What do you guys suggest to use to give the belt pouches their shape? 2 Link to comment
Lt. Dan[501st]
I used foam to give them shape, worked fine! Are the ribs on Jim's undersuit sewed? 1 Link to comment

All gaskets are sewn on. Ok! Thanks for the suggestion on the foam. And if you or anyone wants to see different views on the items I've gotten already I'm more than willing to show. 2 Link to comment
TheFireAwakens1807
I'm finally beginning the fine-trimming of my fiberglass armor and helmet but I wanted to ask if anyone has any general recommendations and also wanted to ask what is best to used to clean off the armor once the trimming is done (pesky fiberglass flakes). I am using my dremel tool to fine trim off the excess that did not come off with the rough trim that was done to it prior to my pick-up and then finishing off by sanding the edges that were trimmed off. Thoughts? Link to comment
IcyTrooper[CMD-DL]
I haven't trimmed fiberglass in on armor but I'd imagine that if you washed it down with warm water and a brush (not wire brush) it should remove it from any surface it is on; similar to removing from clothes. If you get it in your skin then you do a cold shower to close up pores and then hot shower to open them to release the fiberglass. 1 Link to comment
Lt. Dan[501st]
I wore disposable latex gloves to keep me protected and for cleaning after sanding I took compressed air and methylated spirits. Did it outside the house in my garden wearing a dust mask. 1 Link to comment
TheFireAwakens1807
Update! Well it has been awhile since my last post because I was on vacation 2 weeks ago in Vegas, Arizona, and Utah. Plus a few other priorities came up when I returned, like work (with the Surfside Condo in Miami) and the fact I will be moving to a new place at the end of July, so I had to get things prepped. But I was able to get something done with my helmet. A month ago, I was checking my helmet when I found a soft spot on the crown. I felt it and I created a hole in the spot. http://imgur.com/a/suJlXIm I ended up expanding it further and got a fiberglass resin kit to fix it. And I finally did that today! I did the inside first with about 4 to 5 layers. http://imgur.com/a/QPW0ZBv And with that I then proceeded to do the outside with 2 layers since the inner layer sticks out of the hole and its harden pretty well. http://imgur.com/a/mU3nc6g I just need to sand it and throw some bondo over where the hole was and and again, but I felt I did pretty well with the repair. What do you think? Not bad for my first time. 4 Link to comment

I'm in the research phase for armor and I'm torn between ABS, Fiberglass and the 3D print options (last choice). Fiberglass seems like the most durable, and I'm guessing it's also serviceable for repairs.(?) That untrimmed photo is a bit intimidating for someone who hasn't ever worked with the stuff. Thats what I like about the fiberglass. Its durable and you can fix the fiberglass if a mistake is made. I have never built with fiberglass before, I was lucky that the rough trim was done by Andrew McClary but in actuality its just cutting out the excess fiberglass. Check out the other builds on the forums but it all depends on what you like and what you are planning to use it for. 1 Link to comment
TheFireAwakens1807
It has been a while since my last post, but I was moving to my new place and unpacking lots of boxes. I do have great news!! My Deathtrooper boots custom made by Giovanni at Crowprops was delivered and I am very impressed! http://imgur.com/a/05bjkcw They are 14 US and the only thing I need to do is compare the shoe cover with the one Jim Tripon sent me to see which one matches with my undersuit better. That's great news that Gio can make the larger sizes. I never understood why IB never went that route but Gio came thru for the Death Trooper community! 1 Link to comment
TheFireAwakens1807
Hello everyone! Has been a while. I haven't given up, its just that the DT armor took a 2 month hiatus at one point but I am resuming again! I worked on putting together and painting my SE-14R https://imgur.com/a/gi3oeuL https://imgur.com/a/KEYeI5K I forgot to take a picture of it fully painted black, so I will get back to you on that. https://imgur.com/a/h7xGPT9 Other than that, I sprayed the inside of the armor with some plastidip (2 coats) so no itchiness for me. Still considering lining it with 2mm eva foam whenever I get to the painting on it. Only issue with armor is that my forearms are tight especially when I flex and the calf armor can't fit around ny calf (go figure). And the items I ordered from A&J projects have still not arrived /: been waiting since june and of course I've contacted them multiple times. Still holding out hope for now. 1 Link to comment
IcyTrooper[CMD-DL]
Nice work on that blaster, I can't see any print lines and that is good! Glad to hear you got the armor and fitment is always a challenge on getting armor supplied all together, but that definitely doesn't mean it can't be fixed! May require a little work and some elbow grease. Did they request measurements prior to them making it? Usually you have to account for the undersuit which a lot of people often miss. Link to comment

I ordered from A&J the accessories like the MP40 shoulder pouches, belt pouches and boxes, and the magazines for the chest rig. 1 Link to comment

What I can say before I get a picture of the undersuit is that Jim's undersuit ribbing is stitched and not stamped like how the darksideclosets undersuits are. Will post photos soon 1 Link to comment
