Best Build Thread to use as a guide

Recommended Posts

@CrookKnight Shawn, it really depends on which kit you will be building, we have two of us in the Carolina Garrison, Drew Menard who is in Charlotte and myself in Raleigh. You can reach out when you start for advice, no one kit is perfect and all require some modifications. Best is to post your own build thread and ask from there. What kit are you building?

Hey.

I am building an 850 Armor Works kit.  I did find some tutorials on their Youtube channel just now.

A little confused on how to properly connect the chest to back...the lower side strap (not sure exactly what I call that area).  See area circled in red in the below image.

Here are the parts I have from the 850 kit.  The straps are resin and I will need to cut them down to size.  The odd shaped pieces are to connect the back to the front.  Do I permanently connect the ABS strips to the back or the front?

I have a R1 tank driver that I did and it is the same setup (minus the straps) and what I did is permanently affixed the back part of the extension piece to the back plate and used Velcro to attach the  front part of the extension piece to the chest plate.
