Gree23[CMD-DCA]
Holy crap. That looks absolutely horrible. Why would he even think thats ok to send??? Have you messaged about it? I would definitely recommend Studio Creations if you go a different route. Their kits are top and easy to assemble. They basically come ready to wear. As far as fixing that helmet. Gonna take a good amount of work. You would need to back that huge hole with something and then fill it, sand smooth, and then paint it. But again, definitely recommend you reach out to the manufacturer and question that Link to comment

I think this is a bad pull. The left side has a huge gap. thoughts? That is a very interesting pull. Often times you can even it out by cutting into the other piece but honestly, I don't think that is going to work this time around and would make the helmet very small and disproportionate. 1 Link to comment
Jsilvius
Things are moving along. @ChrisThePropGuy made it right with the helmet, but we had an issue with shipping. The resin bolts for the helmet sheared off, so now I'm trying to figure out how to fix that, and how to put the lenses in. And while I have the majority of the trimming done, I think I messed up the tank, as there isn't much room for the tank topper and still haven't figured out how to do the holster. But I'm a whole lot closer than I was. Link to comment
Jsilvius
So I'm so close to a full suit up, finally. I only have one more piece I need. Where do you get the belt clips for the TD? 1 Link to comment

I just checked a recent buildthread on Pathfinders and they used the same clips you linked and it looks really good once they bent it. I'm just a RotJ Scout and working on a new SpecOps scout CRL so I'm not an expert on Shadow, but that looks good to me. 1 Link to comment

I've had this build happening for 2+ years, and I'm trying to wrap it up. I also have a Shadow Trooper that is 90% done, just need to do the strapping. I'm trying to get these teo done and out of the way so I can get R1TK started and have room in my work shop for when my Vader parts start arriving. 2 Link to comment

Jsilvius
Well it isn't perfect, but it is getting there. A few more tweaks, and should be good, hopefully... Link to comment
Heavy[CMD-DCA]
Nice to see, that you haven´t given up on this one 😊 I will try to give you some comments but it is really hard to see the details on your pictures, it would help if you take them in a better light. If you could take pictures of each part in good lighting also, that would help a lot. I have a couple of things that I noticed right away, and that you will need to correct : If possible could you lower your chest plate a bit ? the chest and back armor do not need to touch under the fabric bridge - you can extend it with velcro and then make the bridge fabric a bit longer. This will also make it more comfortable for you. Your shoulder bells sits to high, they need to sit on the edge of your shoulder, the correct position will also help so your flakvest sleeves do not look to long. Your pouches on the cummerbund needs to change sides - easy fix - but they also needs to be higher up so the top of the pouches sits under the edge of your chest armor and moved more towards the ribs in front without covering them. We shouldn´t be able to see the flap that they are hanging from. The closure on the cummerbund in the bask should sit in the middle, that will need to be changed. Your dropboxes needs to be lowered a bit too, the straps are to tight and its hard to see if your clips on the straps are put on the right way. The clips on your gloves will need to be cut of. The bolts on the helmet will need to be painted black. With better pics, I can give you more feedback on the rest, that I can´t see in full. Please also take a look at the model in the CRL for references : Costuming:TX shadow scout - 501st Legion Databank Keep going, you´re almost there 😉 1 Link to comment
Jsilvius
I knew a couple of these after I took the pictures. I actually ripped the boxes off and replaced did them. My GML said the same thing lengthening the straps, I am working on that tonight, and it will help with the armor over the pouch strips. The pouches was a mix up on my son's fault, he stuck the on wrong and I didn't see it until we took pictures LOL... But, I'm happy I'm working on little fixes at this point... Link to comment

Heavy[CMD-DCA]
I think we all have put on something the wrong way at one point of time, good thing it is easy to fix - and great that your son is helping out, perhaps a new member in the making 😉 Keep going - as I wrote earlier, you´re almost there, now it is on to the fitting and getting the details right.
