Stance on Black Series Scout style helmet for Shadowscout.

Can a black series (once repainted/filled in) be used for a Shadow Scout?

As long as it has all the aspects of the CRL covered I don't see why not, however, I don't think I've heard of anyone converting a Black Series helmet over for the shadow scout. However, that doesn't mean that it hasn't happened though. @RAIDER have you heard of anyone doing this?

I do have one, size is right, shape is correct.

Need filling and sanding to close the battery cover (BTW the speaker system  is pretty bad) and some other parts.

I am going to replace the lens since your eyes will show on every single pic (even without flash)

Other than that (and of course painting and adding decals) I think Hasbro did a very good job on this one.

Anyone else who wants to share something about it?

Yeah I generally didn’t expect to use the speaker system for it, so filling/sanding around the compartment is no problem. How easy is it to remove the lens?

I dont own one myself but assuming what’s said above is correct, it’s possible…the same way the Black Series TK helmet can pass for R1 style w all the necessary mods.  If you’re shooting for specialist…just glancing at online pics, it looks like you might need to dremel out ear holes (cant tell if theyre open or not) as well as figure out how to swap the helmet bolts out.

Yeah after the personal trauma of getting my scout to lancer specifications , basic clearance will do fine  That's just one less set of things I have to keep in the worry pipeline!

David is right, I forgot about the dremmel work, ear holes are filled and need to be cutted out

The ears would be a level 2 issue though, not basic right? I don't see 'open ears' on the CRL for basic.
