Nyra9855
So unfortunately Elbeco discontinued their jumpsuits and alternatives have been very short in supply. Managed to find this tactsquad one but it does need some modification, although that was expected. Gonna cut the flaps off an old OD bdu for the pockets and likely fashion a placket out of the fabric as well. After that I will be buying the boots and pouches. Excited to start! 1 Link to comment
Nyra9855
Update: Bought a new, more suitable coverall as well as the gloves Just gotta remove the velcro for the patches and make some very basic mods 2 Link to comment
Nyra9855
Painted my boots, belt, and goggles, as well as received the harness Currently making payments to Intergalactic Supply for the helmet, and after that I just gotta get the pouches and modify the jumpsuit 1 Link to comment
Nyra9855
Some more updates, tried everything on and shortened the harness 2 Link to comment
Nyra9855
Another update: Got the gloves in the mail finally and my GOD are they stiff, gonna have to use some leather oil to soften em up 1 Link to comment
Blackwatch[CMD-DCA]
Hey Gage thanks for the uupdats I would lengthen out the harness and hook it lower to the belt itself so the hooks dont show, we want you go apply for Specialist when you are approved and the hooks should not be visible. Id let the belt drop another two inches, its riding REALLY high on you. hit everything with Montana Gold olive green so it all matches. yeah new gloves are stiff. I mow laws and drive with new gloves. I used oil ONCE on a pair of gloves. They became rock hard. Ill never oil a glove again. I break them in with sweat and work! 1 Link to comment

The hooks shouldn't be visible once the pouches are on but if they still are I'll move it down for sure That's actually right where the belt should sit believe it or not, but I'm used to using alice belts in their real life configuration so my perception for it is a bit skewed And yeah I'll paint the harness once I have all the other bits 1 Link to comment
Blackwatch[CMD-DCA]
ALICE on BDUs sits much higher, above our hips, i wore the gear during the 80s too so yeah I totally get you. The pockets were configured that way on the BDUs to accomodate the belt. Mine rides really low now covering where the coverall split is 1 Link to comment

Blackwatch[CMD-DCA]
Thats one of the approved accessories and its not so commonly seen. Maybe I should add one to my new rig since I have to rebuild the whole thing. 1 Link to comment
Nyra9855
Well it took most of the night and MANY poked fingertips but I've added a placket and the chevron with green snap to my jumpsuit, as well as removed all of the velcro patch spots I'll do some aging after to help conceal the stitches (Mud, oil, etc) Link to comment
Nyra9855
Readjusted and painted the harness, got some good pictures of the front and back Also applied oil to age the suit a bit :3 1 1 Link to comment
Nyra9855
OKAY Been a hot minute while life has gotten in the way but I have bought both patches as well as an assortment of pouches as listed below Condor OD SMG pouch x1 (I wanted to keep parity with the MP40 pouches TKs wear) OD Canteen pouch x1 (I will be using a square OD canteen with an Imperial Cog decal on it, star warsy enough I think) Condor handcuff pouches x2 Condor large utility pouch x1 (Going on the back of the belt to use as a buttpack) And finally a Condor double grenade pouch for thermal detonator props 2 Link to comment
Blackwatch[CMD-DCA]
Please make sure to take those buckles off. Buckles are not seen in the comics, only straps and round snaps, and the straps are neat if present. Lt Sunburn has a couple of buckles on his strobe and binoc pouches, but that is a totally different CRL. Also, if you plan to add the cog to the pouch, know that it will not pass L2 approval because it is not present in the comic art. You may want to check with your GML to see if the cog decal would pass L1 approval since that would be a local-level decision on something not seen in the source. Link to comment

No no I meant the cog on the canteen itself, just to have a silly thing to have water in Link to comment
Nyra9855
And as for the buckles I'm just gonna replace those with some simple velcro straps, yeah 1 Link to comment
Nyra9855
Ok got all of the pouches set up and mounted on the belt, I will be replacing the buckles soon but just wanted to go ahead and post the setup I have 1 Link to comment
Nyra9855
Alright patches have arrived, pouches have been modified, and uniform has been suitably weathered All that's left now is to receive my helmet, darken the lenses on my goggles, and get my blaster and TK belt with holster 1 1 Link to comment

I did not, it's possible you might have gotten a completely different color somehow Also thank you for the comments on the pouches and the help, it's much appreciated!! 1 1 Link to comment
Blackwatch[CMD-DCA]
I bought some color remover, but now that I think about it I may just save it for my medic trooper. I can dye a regular white suit with iDye for polyester. Link to comment

It's entirely possible you got one in Ranger Green rather than OD, which is SUBSTANTIALLY darker a color Military colors are weird, do you have a pic of it? Link to comment
Nyra9855
OK We're almost there, had to get and paint a new belt, it's drying now, then I gotta assemble the TK belt I bought, but here's some more progress pictures along with my canteen I was talking about doing up earlier! Link to comment
