How picky are they about the harness

Recommended Posts

Slowly building up my IAT costume, just got my coveralls order in with HerotecX, so now I need to find the harness.

Best I can find online for an H harness is something like this

Would that work or would I need someone to make it JUST like the one in the CRL?

For people who have done IAT's, how strict have your GML's been on the equipment you've used for yours?

It would have to be the CRL version.

Honestly it's not hard to make. You need a length of 2 inch (or 55mm) wide olive green nylon webbing, some adjustment slides, and at least 2 hooks from the front. The back can attach to the belt from loops made from the vertical webbing

Are there any makers/vendors that sell it?

I know there is a vendor on Etsy that sold them, called Spatcave.

Listing says sold out, but might be worth a go message him?

wow, had no idea Spat was making this.

Considering webbing is like 40 cents per foot and triglides are a couple of bucks, 45 plus shipping handling and wait time is pretty hefty for a project that will not take more than ten minutes to make.

This is for my Engineer but otherwise its indentical. I wrote both CRLs and I have all three versions of the Army trooper from the comics, this is the simplest part of the entire costume.
