Helmet padding

Hello everyone,

So I have recently received my Shadow Scout armour commission build (RWA). As this is my first costume I thought I would ask what are some of the best ways to pad or add something similar like a headband so my helmet sits better and to stop it sliding about on its own. Pictures would be super helpful!

For my shadow stormtrooper helmet I've used military helmet pads similar to the ones here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004RCLM8Q/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 (these aren't available at the moment)

They are attached via Velcro around the top of the helmet.

Similar to Ryan, I use military helmet padding. I've gotten what Ryan's linked which works great, but after some testing i personally preferred these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0C5CKP597?ie=UTF8&th=1

Ive been doing this since 2008 and I have a LOT of helmets. Different types that wear differently.

I have used

the second type of pads that have the pieces joined together.

black Catarpillar knee pads hot glued into the helmet

hard hat suspension system with a snap back (not the knob type adjustment)

bump caps but down to fit inside a helmet and velcroed in

the traditional foam cloverleaf
