ARMOR

This was deceptively difficult. I bounced around with a total of 3 different armor sets. My initial kit (Iden and Hask) was 3d printed. I trooped it for over 50 troops and have since replaced it. I initially went with JintaProps. Their stuff is good but a bit small. I then decided to go with a mix, Jinta chest/connectors (leather, NOT plastic) and Intergalactic back. This has worked out perfectly for me ever since. I might get the intergalactic chest eventually, just so the proportions match better, but it's not bad by any means. Shoulder straps were replaced by MonCal rubber ones to give it more flex and more space (the Jinta ones are super tiny!)

VEST

This I struggled with the most. Initially trying to find a supplier, I eventually ended up on Jim Tripon. I then realized that the buckles, and pouch bar greeblies were not included, so I had to search for those (found the buckle on here and the bar I modeled on my own). I didn't use too much glue on them since I wasn't sure if it would hold at all, so I plan to reglue before trooping in it. Luckily everything worked out great.

For the pouch fillers, I got a garment bag for my officer and it came with a really crappy drawstring bag. I ended up cutting the bag into strips and gluing them like so in the pics. Held it, put super glue, sprayed activator, and presto! It's attached. I recommend asking tripon for extra fabric to be able to do this yourself.

SHOULDER POUCH

This was a pain in the ass! I searched ebay, british ebay, german ebay for awhile! I checked all my known reenactor sites and as it turns out black canvas MP-40 pouches are pretty uncommon! Of course a more recent search revealed that they're starting to pop back up again, oh well! The other big issue I had was the stitching. It was all white! I took a sharpie to it and colored it in (front and back) as well as the sides of the leather straps that hold the magazines. I also 3d printed some boxes to be able to make them appear full. Attached with some velcro to my flightsuit.

OVERBELT

I also struggled with this. I initially didn't know where the snaps were, what the difference was between this and a shadow scout belt and it was super confusing. Eventually I learned the last boxes on each side have a slope to them, and hopefully that'll be reflected in the next CRL photos when we can update them again. Anyhow I got this from Intergalactic supply as well, and it also has loops inside for the belt. Hip box is nothing special, just a shadow hip box with some leather running through it. Buckles are not functional.

SCOUT STYLE POUCHES

These were pretty simple. Got them from Mon Cal on etsy. I believe they are just shadow scout pouches. I used some velcro on the back to hold the back flap to the pouch, and they dangle from my vest strap, making it look like they're on the belt strap.

THERMAL DETONATOR

I believe this is also a shadow scout detonator. I kinda glued the larger greeblie a little crooked, so I plan to fix that shortly. The back side has an insert plate glued in and 2 metal hooks to hook onto the belt. Endcaps gave me a hard time while gluing, I plan to add more reinforcement shortly.

HOLSTER

Darman's Props on etsy. Fantastic holster! I go to him whenever I need one. Uses velcro to attach to the officer belt.

BOOTS

Arguably one of the more difficult parts, I ended up with keeptrooping "tall jackboots". Initally I had some taller than average normal jackboots approved for Iden and Hask, but have since realized these are more accurate. Also a comparison to normal sized jackboots.

DLT-19x

Also optional but as Del's primary weapon, I had to have it! I used a DLT-19 base from Galactic Armory and just didn't print the bipod. I then found a scope off thingiverse and glued it on top.. crooked. I will be tearing it off and regluing shortly. I painted the scope separately from the blaster so I can get the nice red line all around without worrying about too much overspray.
