jasonkimonger87[501st]
Planning to get a head start building! Was going to get the kit from crow props but I am a little bit concerned with how Crow props made their flight suis as of late. Should I get the suit from Wampa wear instead? -Jason Link to comment
Blackwatch[CMD-DCA]
given that the wampa wear is "soft" "light" and has a waistband that scrunches up the back pretty badly, I would advise against for a Del build. I went to Jim Tripon and got his heaviest canvas, and I had him make it with no elastic waistband in the back. Im happy with it, and considering that Im currently re-writing the CRL, we want a suit that is structured and not soft because Im goign for L2 approval. I have the WW suit here in my Garrison with our Iden, yes its canvas, but its quite soft and the scrunching in back is very plain. There is no scrunching on Del in any of the reference images. here is my Tripon suit. Link to comment
jasonkimonger87[501st]
I see..My concerns are with crowprops as the alternative is that the pocketing of the suit was just weird! I would hate to waste money on something like that only to not get approved. Link to comment
Blackwatch[CMD-DCA]
talk to Jim Tripon. Im super happy with mine. it will almost stand up on its own. The way the CRL is written (and currently under rewrite) is to have the canvas heavy and structured. The Tripon suit is both. Link to comment
jasonkimonger87[501st]
Roger roger! Ill also inquire with him about other parts that he can do. I'll also try to touch base with Gary and other folks down here in Socal to get more intel. Trooper bay can't confirm if it fits with the Del Meeko CRL but this is what I found so far as options. https://www.etsy.com/listing/1464452472/sandtrooper-mp40-pouches-in-canvas?ls=s&ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=mp40+pouch&ref=sr_gallery-1-1&cns=1&sts=1&content_source=201c85f302b5f54fea2bfde265d6e6f1a586b6f0%3A1464452472&search_preloaded_img=1&organic_search_click=1&logging_key=201c85f302b5f54fea2bfde265d6e6f1a586b6f0%3A1464452472&variation0=3498850127 https://www.etsy.com/listing/590226806/sandtrooper-black-canvas-mp40-magazine?ls=s&ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=mp40+pouch&ref=sr_gallery-1-2&content_source=cd2077e7c9cb38c3e149f01b763d60919edc5e7c%3A590226806&search_preloaded_img=1&organic_search_click=1&logging_key=cd2077e7c9cb38c3e149f01b763d60919edc5e7c%3A590226806 Link to comment
