ISB Tactical Agent - CRL Discussion

That makes a lot of sense.  Makes it easier for builders and GMLs. Folk can just scale the biceps as they would currently then.

Hi everyone, I’m currently only on page 2 of this topic for the ISB Tactical Agent’s CRL. 
Someone mentioned me by name (Kevin Weir -Imperial Surplus) on page 1 about my IG comment on the Buckles being different. I was referring to the Leg Strap Buckles. They are nothing like what has previously been used on new era characters. 
Also for the Back Plate Armor - the top hose bibs are not hollow for Andor. Only Solo and Mando show had them hollow. Andor 1 & 2 casted them solid with just a slight recessed center - slightly raised lip. 
Also should there be any mention of the side connectors, that are a fixed to the lower side of back armor. They wrap around towards the front belly. A 2” elastic belly strap is used through the 2 slots on each end to hold it together. Also only Velcro was used to affix the Chest to these side connectors for the screen used suits. 
 

I'm currently getting ready for SDCC next week. I’ll have more time afterwards to assist with more detail information about these characters.

my eyes are getting older and relying entirely on screen grabs I never noted the difference in the hose connectors. 

 

@Tal Skirata referencing the images it looks like Gharian and Heert both have 2 inch black velcro holding front to back, thas also how my Jim Tripon armor came. So this is not  velcro holding the front to the back? we have an eleastic web going up to the front from the back? what holds the front in place to keep it from flopping?

Id love to see 3d model makers replicate the exact intricacies of the armor, like Paul Prentice did with the shoretrooper.

• The shoulders are considered effectively symmetrical; they may be worn interchangeably on the left and right shoulders. and may have a black elastic strap that wraps around the inside of the bicep.   webbing or velcro is permitted to keep the shoulder armor in place. 
• Shoulder armor may be held up with a strap mounted under the shoulder bridge.

OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable):

• There is no swoop on the shoulder bell raised area.
• There is no elastic strap that wraps around the inside of the bicep.

• Biceps are a split design, joined in the front. A slim gap may be present at the back of the bicep. 
• Bicep cover strips are raised and beveled with an added strip layer on top.
• Biceps are painted to match the armor and helmet.

The original TA suits used a 2” wide heavy elastic with snaps to hold the shoulder bells in place. A 1” wide black elastic was used to hold the biceps to the shoulder bells, also with snaps. The 1” black elastic was looped through the upper slot in the bicep. There is a difference between left and right biceps. Front is affixed/ glued together at the detail strip, backside closer is not affixed for sizing.

The original TA suit - They used black acrylic wash to age/weather all of the suits. Some more than others.

As for the leg straps…

Starting from the outside of the shin plate, it’s visible that 2 bricks are fixed to the strap separately. Then the new style decorative buckle directly behind those 2 bricks.  A parachute clip is behind the decorative buckle, with the receiving end of the parachute clip visible. ( not the prong side of the clip) Then a flat smooth area, approximately 2 inches long appears to be wrapping into the receiving parachute clip, followed by a series of bricks continue around the back of the boot/ leg  and inner side of the person’s boot/ leg towards the inner edge of the shin plate. There is approximately 3 bricks more difference from the top strap and the bottom straps. The bottom strap has 15 bricks, the top has 18, not counting the first 2 separate bricks on the outside edge of shin plate. This total count would vary based on different boot sizes needed for the wearer. The bottom strap wraps snuggly to the ankle area of the boot. The upper strap is above the boot, wrapping around the leg. Each strap width is approximately 1 3/4 inch wide.

Does anything need to be put in regarding the black stripe?

thanks Kevin thats comprehensive and very helpful. Im going to write it to permit the strap at L1.  For the black stripe, ill add that too as an option, and the way we write it, it may go into the optional items along with blasters.
