I agree, and I think I've found something exactly like it on Amazon. I just placed an order and should know in a couple of days. 1 Link to comment
pyro[TX]
So I had an idea, what if I got a file of the belt and printed it in TPU? I could print it loosely coiled so it would fit on the build plate. Link to comment

You could do that but to be honest some of these ribbed floor matts look exactly like the belt material, especially the 1/16" and 1/8" thickness ones. I ordered a bunch and they arrive between 6/4 and 6/6 and I'll post pictures when they arrive. Link to comment

pyro[TX]
I’ve decided to use the Galactic Armory files for the black belt boxes, the back box, gauntlets and boot armor. 1 Link to comment

Are the belt boxes black? in a few shots they look like it but in this close up under the same lighting as the aluminium belt buckle they have the same sheen to them. So to me just look like normal R1 / Andor style boxes. Link to comment
pyro[TX]
They are a gunmetal color, I have these already the black belt boxes I was referring to are the white belt boxes that are bellow the main white belt. 1 Link to comment

Blackwatch[CMD-DCA]
Im working on the CRl, and as we all know its a work in progress. We strongly encourage discussion from the group, so that its not just staff doing all the research You may very well see something we miss. Jarred im next door in BAG and now that Ive lost all my weight I am about your build ill be doing Sgt. Gharial as well. How do you like the Jim Tripon soft goods? I had his ICAT jacket, built to measure and it seemed really big on me and thats before I lost all my weight. Im likely to order from him again but id love some recent feedback. On the ribbed belt Ill be writing it for nylon and for rubber. Ive used thin rubber runner on my BSG knuckledragger vest. it was a wider spacing, but i know you can get it both thinner and in thinner rib spacing. it had a thick backing, but overall it was very pliable once warmed up. Those knuckledragger vests wrap all the way around you and they move with you fiarly well since the actors were all over the Vipers and othe stuff they worked on. I think the real ones were actually made of conveyor belt material for that show, but looking at the 4K screencaps it really does look like rubber on the ISB team. The polypro you listed looks just like it and Im favoring that at L1 approval level. Im following along, I just put in my Ebay order for the ChiCom Ebay Cobra mike knockoff. For 14 bucks shipped thats better than my sanding all day. Link to comment
pyro[TX]
His soft goods are great, tho it was probably my fault for messuring wrong that they came a bit tight but Ive also lost wieght so it fits a bit looser. 1 Link to comment

Blackwatch[CMD-DCA]
my icat had a "hinged" flexible box and i put a common hinge back there. Youre printing in PETG? How many walls are you printing with? I printed a set of ICAT armor and it weighed a ton with 4 walls and 9% gyroid. Link to comment
pyro[TX]
2 walls and 20% gyroid and I’m using pla. This box is not hinged but thin 1 Link to comment

Based on this last picture i'd possible say it's not long enough. When looking at some of the reference pics when they have their arms holding weapons and in a "readiness" position the back is touching the bicep and wrist/hand plate. So they do look like they are covering the full forearm. I'll try and get one printed and see on my arms - did you do yours at 100%? Link to comment
pyro[TX]
I think the length is fine, but the width might be too big . If it’s any longer I wouldn’t be able to bend my arm. Link to comment
Deamos
I think you may be right, it could do with a little less angle to it. I'll get some strapping on it tomorrow and see what it looks like then. Link to comment
