Diet_Evil
So I'm going about this backwards from what many have done. I've printed and have files for most of the hard parts and I'll grab cloth when I'm closer to done with all those as I'm pretty much fully 3d printing the hard parts. The backwards part is I'm diving into the blaster first as I'm a bit of a sci-fi weapons nerd and the prospect of having one of the first accurate ISB Tac blasters has me motivated. We already know the base is an MP40 (free files on cults3d for a mechanically moving mp40) and thanks to keen eyes on here we know the PDW stock used. We also know from Deamos's sources that the scope mount and barrel are custom. So with that knowledge I've dug into the screen caps for better images. From screen grabs I'm gonna call it about 10 inches on overall barrel length based on its relation to the MP40 (roughly the distance from front of the magwell to the front of the trigger guard). I'm going to use an e10 barrel I have file for as we can see it has the imperial blaster "ribs". It also happens to fit nicely over the mp40 prints chamber. We can also tell from screen shots that these aren't standard ribs like we see on the e11 e10 etc, they don't visibly curve into any holes in the heat shroud. I think from looking at it we can assume the front sight shroud is the one off of the mp 40 cut down. The tip is custom from what we've heard. Moving under after rewatching for my screen caps clearly it's a flashlight not a barrel, although I still think the mount near the end is the one off the barrel with the flashlight fitted in it so a thin pen light will be needed. I intended to lengthen an existing 4x20 scope unless a found item can be ID'd by the time I get to it. I know Deamos is working on a scope mount, so I'm going to see what he is able to come up with and work on a barrel cap and rails for the time being. Edit: Id include more pics (I have so many more) but it seems I'm at my limit of potato sized images... not sure if someone could help me with that. Link to comment

pyro[TX]
Quality has nothing to with it, it’s the wrong fabric. It’s a canvas type fabric instead of the suiting fabric. Link to comment

I mean, it does when the material is neither of those... regardless I'm not debating the accuracy of the hat I have on hand, that can change. I'm working on the blaster no ones completed yet. Diet_Evil
First dip into CAD and I feel like Ive got a good approximation of a muzzle break based on the screen grabs. The plug end fits into a 30mm internal diameter barrel shroud. I'll see about uploading the stl. Tomorrow I'll start working on the rails/ribs. Link to comment
Deamos
I'm puzzled over the barrel at the moment as while i initially thought it looked like an E11 barrel there looks to be a lack of any holes on it in one screengrab. In this one in the reference forum post you can just make out what look to be "loops" that look to be about 2" long and spaced down the length of the barrel. The connection points appear to be slightly raised from the surface as well. I've taken a stab at them and will print out what i think i "may" be talking about for a better visual representation. @Diet_Evil The barrel done does look good and if you have used the same 3d MP40 files their is a modded set which corrects the inaccurate front sight to one with the genuine more rounded shroud Link to comment
TreeHuggerMatt
is the muzzle tip the one from the dlt 20? As for the mp40 files I have some but not sure if the right ones but says is full scale. Any files that we can make print would be great but im crap at CAD sorry Link to comment

That said it gives us a very clear view of the rails. I'm going to fit them on the e10 barrel I have and if it looks off I'll go ahead and cover/fill/print without. Honestly I'm not sure which mp40 file I got, I tend to hoard stl's and forget to source them, we'll keep comparing notes. 2 hours ago, TreeHuggerMatt said: is the muzzle tip the one from the dlt 20? I'll be providing links to all the bits I'm making (at least while we all figure this beast out) on thingiverse but I need to wait 24 hours before I can post as my accounts new. 1 Link to comment
Diet_Evil
Here's what Ive come up with for rails. Initially I was going to have the rail "skirt" go the full length of the rail just like current imperial blasters, but from the above picture it seems to just be at the ends. Ive gone ahead and printed both and mocked both up for comparison. from the photos we have its looking like six rows with space on the top and bottom for the front site and mount for the flashlight respectively. After seeing them on the e10 barrel I think we can say with out a doubt its not e11 style. I've got a tube printing now with the one hole on the front we can see in the screen caps. 1 Link to comment
Deamos
That's a much clearer shot of the barrel than I've been able to grab and shows the front "nut" before the MP40 barrel would start is still in place there, with the new barrel tube/shroud applied past it. I would say those long rails you've design also are like the ones i've added down the side of the main body above the rigger and handle area. 1 Link to comment
Diet_Evil
Working on the attachment point for the scopes looks like a strut attaching near the middle or upper middle of portion attaching the scopes together. I'm going to be using two struts. I wasn't able to catch a shot that shows more than one but given the thickness of them even made of metal I don't think one would be secure. As far as it attaching to the body of the blaster we can see a rail mounted to the side in line with the take down pins. I'll go ahead work on these next. 2 Link to comment
Diet_Evil
Test fitting the scope mount I think the struts needs to be under not over the bracket (which makes more sense looking at it now) I'll more than likely replace the struts with metal once I have them figured out to avoid wobbly scopes. Over all here is what I have so far. For the extra long 4x20's I've used the SE14 files over on whitearmor.net to get the ends and the knobs and roughly 13cm (I'll verify this once I'm back at my table) of .75 inch aluminum pipe to extend it. On my hit list: -Need some metal rods for the stock -A pen light for the under barrel (the one in the picture doesn't look right). -Hardware for the mount and any open pin/screw holes on the print. I plan on having some bondo and sanding on it by Sunday. 2 Link to comment
Deamos
Just looking at the mount from this top view we can see the original flip up sight is still in place half way down the body of the weapon. and what looks to be a block coming or attached the the side of the main body. Would you think is could be a picatinny rail mount? Link to comment

Would you think is could be a picatinny rail mount? Good catch. For some reason my MP40 didn't have one so I've mocked one up real quick. Some other info I'm seeing new in this, the front holes behind the silver but look to have E11 style "C" greeblies on both sides. Looks like they reversed the MP40 sling attachment point on the front or at least have it in a similar place. The stock has the rear sling point. Im not sure that bit on the front of the scope is. You can see it on another before they enter, but it's clearly missing from others, and it's not on any of them in the hallway scenes. Maybe part of the stunt versions? I discovered that the side rails appear to be in three sizes. The front short rails are two long for the rear as I'm assembling (pics below, rear should in line with other rails), and closer inspection of earlier pictures in this thread seem to support it. I've got new shortened one's printing. (3rd post has links to all my files btw. barrel, rails and mounting brackets are about to be updated.) 1 Link to comment
Deamos
I'll hold off printing your barrel and bits to see how the sizing compares to using it on the AGM Airsoft base weapon I've used. I'd say your scope mount sizing is pretty much there too and with a pair of 4x20's, one being cut down to only 5cm long added together should be about right. Only query would be around the block i mentioned before - if it is a picatinny rail block on the side of the gun it kind of doubles up the mounts and if you leave the scopes original mounting points in place as it looks like they are in some of the photo's the part in your scope mount that joins both sides together (the joining bar with cutouts) and is on both sides gets in the way. So having it only on the front side of the mount would make it work. Link to comment
Diet_Evil
I see what you mean now. I still think its being kept of the main body by some struts, we can see those here On 6/25/2025 at 3:11 PM, Diet_Evil said: But I think you're right that the top barrel is still using its mount hardware on a picatinny. This is what I think we are seeing, and I hate it as a way to mount a scope. Here's my mock up. Pink being the picatinny in question, right side pink is a more printed friendly version I'll likely use. 3 Link to comment

Diet_Evil Posted yesterday at 05:21 AM Author Share Posted yesterday at 05:21 AM Here is one round of bondo and sanding, gonna give it a touch up in some rough areas add the remaining hardware and then start slinging paint. Need to figure out what kind of sling is used after that. 3 Link to comment
