Hey Steve, thanks! Mate, your advice has been invaluable from the beginning. I have missed our long conversations, but really without your help I would still have been contemplating the first cut.

Thanks Nick. I did a 5km troop today and the thighs need some more meat taken off them. The shoulder bells have been lifted, so really all I need to do now is fix the holster to the belt and hopefully it gets approved.

Shiny and black, looks good Doug. It took me a long time to get the confidence to make the first cut and when I did I thought I had ruined my biceps. But the more I did the more confidence I gained, but it's definitely not one you can do by yourself. Looking forward to seeing your progress.

Thanks Shane, it was the first troop in my armour. I had only finished building it 11pm the night before and was having a lot of trouble getting my thigh's above the knee. But as you can see I need to raise my shoulder bells a tad. Overall I'm happy, but I do have a bit of work getting rid of excess glue on the armour. Both E6000 (which easily cleans off with WD40) and CA which will be a challenge.

It's been awhile, but the light at the end of the tunnel is rapidly approaching. I need to adjust my shoulder bells, thighs and shins and with a few other little tweeks and some luck I can submit for approval shortly. A steep learning curve.....yeah! A BIG thanks to those who have helped me along the way. Cheers!

There are a couple of new armour suppliers for the Snowtrooper. One is available now (RS Props) and the other shouldn't be too far away . I haven't totally locked into doing the snow trooper as I'm also considering a Galactic Marine or Shadow Scout. Maybe then a tie pilot.

Good luck mate. I'm still building my shadow trooper, so it will be good to follow yours. I know the broke feeling as well, but it is nowhere near as bad as the death stare I get from my wife when a package turns up in the mail.

Looking good Steve. You've almost convinced me to do a tie fighter next instead of the snowie.

From what I could find on FISD, Troopmaster recommends 7 3/8" for pipe length. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Thanks Steve. I ended up getting 15mm x 6mm N50 magnets. I only got 15, sounds like I need to get some more. I went to spotlight today and got some titanium scissors and a craft cutter for scoring my spare plastic. My youngest son and I will start with the biceps tomorrow. The only things I need to chase up are some heavy duty snaps and some webbing. Plus I'm still debating my plan of attack for a blaster.

Cheers Shane, I have one question. What size and strength rare earth magnets do people use when clamping their armour? I'm looking at getting 20mm x 3 mm discs and N42. Is this overkill?

Thanks Steve. Yes, I'm still in the hunt for a blaster and my spare plastic should be here within the week, so fingers crossed I can begin my build. I missed that tutorial so it will be most helpful. I'm still debating whether to go snap plates or glue the webbing straight to the armour for a better fit. How are the snap plates going with your build? I'll take my biceps to work with me this week and see if I can at least get a start. Hey, a BIG thanks for your call last week, it's highly motivating to have someone like yourself to talk to. I have a troop tomorrow, so I plan to check the strapping set up's on a couple of TK's. What's the progress of your own build?

Steve, thanks mate. That would be very appreciated. I'm still waiting for my building supplies (my poor planning). I'm off to Melbourne next week and can't wait to check out some modelling stores for supplies. How are you going with using Tarzan's Grip? How similar is it to E6000? I noticed on the directions that it only requires 12hrs to fully set, so if it works that would be a bonus over the E6000. I'm a little confused about the use of for sale signs as well. I haven't seen any made out of plastic. I've checked a few out in my area (just for research purposes), Thanks again Steve, your a great mentor.
