  1. I guess I should have posted this with question. I'm wondering how much to trim off? I have seen differing measurements for the end caps. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Thanks, I just needed something to go by. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Never thought of that. Most of my big cuts are all done. It's all fine trimming and sanding for the most part. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Can I ask you what the length of the pipe was? I didn't see it. Also, the end caps, from open end to closed what is the dimensions? Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I have a pair of both. I was told the HM boots are approvable. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Yeah, the sanding is definitely an acquired skill. I've been doing pretty good with the exacto knife though. Got plenty of blades. My problem is I have hard time with straight lines. I'm like Charlie Brown with a pen. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. So I'm not the most diligent at taking pictures. We got the thighs and shins glued completely. Just need to complete the shin enclosure system. Started getting a strapping system made. And have started trimming arm parts. Next build day will be next Friday. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. A little late to respond, but Home Depot sells them. I wipe them out each time I go lately. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Time is on my side. Definitely not wanting to rush this. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Going back to the picture, that was pretty sanding so it should be good then. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Hmmm, the guy who was helping me glued it already. The bigger one I have to sand a lot still. I'm using e6000 so it should be able to be removed I'm hoping. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Ok, I wasn't quite sure how low to go. I trimmed quite a bit off them already. Will sand more next work session. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Thanks, yes I have separate tabs for the belt. Just wanted to make sure I didn't misplace something. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. This is from today. The bench sander was a huge time saver but had the potential to create irreversible mistakes. Came a little close to sanding too much off the shins. Lesson learned. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. These are from last week and the first real beginnings. I have one of the local 501st guys helping me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I have worked on a few pieces over the past few weeks. Today we glued/shimmed front of thighs and calves. Last week was just basic trimming. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. As I am working on my kit, I found these three buttons. Are they part of the TX, as I don't see them referenced anywhere? Thanks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. I've started building my shadow and noticed there are minor scuffs here and there. I know about the Novus to polish, but is there anything that will help hide the scuffs and scratches? I'm new to this. Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Thanks, I'm going to have a lot. Just from trying on parts and seeing what goes where, I will have to trim the thighs a bit as they are a bit long.
  20. Here is a link to the pictures I have as of now. https://goo.gl/photos/jrsKNx5jgRiTKPXG8
  21. Hi, so I started "trimming" tonight. Started on the TD caps, shoulder straps and hand guards. I'm building a WTF kit and am going to have a lot of questions. For the shoulder straps, are they flush with no return edges on the bottom? I'm trying to attach photos but am not savvy with the forums yet. I can't attach from phone as pictures are too big. I also have question in dimensions of the TD caps and the cover.
  22. This is awesome. I have been looking for an example like this. I have a WTF kit that came pre-trimmed. I just need to fine trim it and glue. Thanks for all this.
  23. Are there any updates on this thread as to videos? I'm about ready to start building as I have compiled most all the stuff I need. Thanks
