baaahahah ...I know exactly what you mean. In our minds all of us have finished at least 20 other costumes and tones of bucks to afford all that I was so lucky to get my DLT. My guy traded it against his KS bucket with a fellow 501st member and I therefore bought him his shoretrooper boots and did all the sewing for his shoretrooper to pay of the DLT

Moaaahhh <3 the DLT is one of the best things, ...next to the shadow scout being fully black <3 I love mine.

great effort so far. looks awesome. keep on going the goal is near btw like your pouch solutionwith the extra pocket. I also made a special construcktion to be abele to use the pouch fully but keep it in shape and volume

At the moment we are told explicitly not to do any execution pics. Never the less, some guys do it anyways. I know from our XO those people where and will be penalized since it was told so many times and randomly before not to do it. I know the weapon-law in general and also the attitude of the people in the US is very different then in europe I realy accept that. My personal opinion is not to do any execution pics. I'm not against weapons or anything like this, but I find these kind of poses are so not-star-wars like. Especially with kids and teens I find it kind of strange since on the other hand we go to hospitals and try to cheer those little kids up and telling the people "bad guys doing good" Anyways very interresting topic. ...good thread and good advices. Do you guys in the US don't any problems with the execution-pictures?! Since the current difficut situation in europe (especially the stuff in france and germany with the several amok situations and many shot people) we are told by our CO not to do any of these poses since it could be missunderstood or it could affend people. For some events we are even not allowed to take our blasters with us. If people ask for these poses, we are explaining to them why we don't to that anymore. How about your experiences with these kind of poses?

After 3 days of german comic con and troop I'm finally back under the living. On saturady I had my first troop with my shadow and it was a blast! So many 501st colleagues came and told me how much they liked my shadow, as well as visitors and photographs. I'm still waiting for some pics to come these days, then I'm goimg to update you guys with pics. Trooping with my shadow was so much fun. It's sucj a comfy costume and the helmet has an awesome view. ...this is definetly gonna be my favorite costume. In the meantime I'm starting to sort out eveything for the specialist program. I just got the official approvemnt for my shadow .. Unfortunately there was made a little mistake and they listed me as a TB instead of TX ...but they gonna change that So tomorrow I will have a perfect premiere tomorrow on my first troop with my shadow.

Ahwww ...so I'll give it a try. Are the crl's for the shadow also the updated ones as from the pathfinders detavhment for the scouts? ...since october they have new requirements for lancer status. ...unfortunately I'm still waiting for the official mail ...nothing till now.

Inofficially I got the info that I'm accepted, but I have to wait for the official e-mail, which did not arrive till yet. Thanks @griffin for your honest words. Such a pleasure to hear since it was a lot of work. Helmet and armor are from chef and the assembly of both was done by my boyfriend. The full softparts incl. Shoes I've completly made by myselfe in my studio. Only the balaklava-thing, the gloves and the base for the boots are bought. I'm thonking about to apply also for specialist. Your words give me confidence to do that also

oh many thanks for your promt reply ...in the meanwhile I could clear it out. I´ve also send him original pics from episode 6. He said he was not sure anymore if the notch is screen accurate. So this problem is solved. edit: by the way, thats my shadow

Dear fellow scouts. My shadow ist recently under approval of our GMO´s. I´ve already recieved feedback from the GMO. He claims, the upsidedown "V" notch on my chest armor. He sais the notch is not mentioned in the CRL´s. Also the refeence pic in the CRL´s does not show a notch. I explained him, that basicly the CRL´s are the same as the regular biker scout. These CRL´s are the same as he shadow scout. They don´t mention the noch, and also the pic does not show the notch. Never the less it´s screen accurate and I only know approved 501st bikers, which have the notch on the armor. I even know members with lancer level, who have the notch. I have researched for reference pic´s of the shadow scout here in the detachment as wes as on the internet, and all the referenc pic´s show the notch: What do you think?! In germany we only have one approved further active shadow scout. she does not have this notch. How ist your experience?! ...notch or not?! I explained to the GMO it´s screen accurate and i find the CRL´s are not totaly correct. Bu to be honest, the CRL´s are very undetailed ...so many details are not mentioned or incorrect and the notch is just not mentioned, so it´s not phorbidden right?! I saw other shadow scout costumes in both variations, with notch and without
