  1. Hey mate. Here is a side by side of an anovos with my printed helmet using Tom Campbell’s. Hopefully u can see by the pics they are very close in scaling and design. Toms files printed at 100% is a bit bigger than the anovos. So essentially if u find someone who is producing helmets using Toms files then it will be very close to anovos accuracy. I think Andrew mcclary at plastic arms dealers has made his helmets using Toms files [emoji848] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Hi Thomas. Is it the print lines u mean? If so then they need sanding, filling with a spray putty or body filler for deep gaps/grooves then more sanding. Repeat this over and over until lines gone and u have a smooth surface. Or possibly look at using xtc-3d, although I couldn’t eat along with that stuff Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Hey. Good news it fits. If it makes u feel better my anovos is heavy and also so is my 3d printed bucket. Thought the 3d one would be light but after adding fibreglass/paint/ fans/ lights and batteries it’s about the same. Good luck with armour Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Lol. And here’s me thinking on how to scuff mine up to take the shine off Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. TX-27875 reporting in! Cleared to troop with the UK Garrison as both normal and specialist DT. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Hey. I like the 850 helmet mainly for their use of black. Not a fan of the silver details on some others Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. And Dlt19-d Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  9. Here are pics of my finished blasters E11d Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Not according to crl mate. Only thumb and forefinger are leather, however the highlanders middle finger is leather Here the two together for comparison The endor finders gloves are really awesome and very comfy Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Masked off and painted the backplate and chest plate. Thighs have been masked off and I painted the ribbed sections to appear like rubber as per crl Helmet is finished. Will prob need to fine tune the padding etc. The helmet is pretty front end heavy so it is hard to stop it sitting on your nose. I decided to not paint any silver on the helmet. My inspiration has long been on this build this picture No silver on the helmet, buckles or forearm rockets. The greeblies are done in gunmetal which is very close to the anovos. Also masked off and painted contrasting colours in the indents of the forearms as per crl Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Great stuff Jim. Think u have made the right choice. As you said there is a fair few Cleared WIPs here with jim tripon kits for you to refer to. Ones I can think of are Nick Scofield, Lancer and rion Hahn Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. And also they painted my 96% helmet. I got the faceplate last week so did the asymmetrical paint already. Just need to paint the matt black band glue the two parts. Thinking also of plasti-dipping the inside. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Received 95% of my bits from the bodyshop. They are only managing to squeeze it in on Fridays. They are doing me a favour so I can't push them but should be completely done this week [emoji15][emoji16] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Hey thx mate. I did use your guide for the strapping. The main body of the chest rig was a condor rig I got in desert colour and dyed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Got my first batch of painted parts. So happy I spent all that extra time with the finish. Helmet has gone so well. Next to my anovos it makes the anovos look dull and orange peeled! It's almost too good. Gona be a shame to scuff it all up trooping They should be painting more today. I have started on the asymmetrical panels Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Hmm. Think I have seen some on Etsy. I am not a fan of bubble lenses as it distorts my view. I use a cut to shape welders mask from amazon. Shade 5. I found the curve of the mask worked well for the curve of my helmet Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Hi Tom. Myself and lots of others have gloves from endor finders. Very comfortable and accurate gloves Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Got the ab plate finished. Have also reprinted several other bits to be better sized to me. Biceps were always to big as were the shoulder bells. Luckily with all these incorrectly sized bits I very nearly have enough to go on my mannequin 🙄😬 I eventually got the lot off to the bodyshop to be painted high gloss black to start. They are doing it as a favour so it is being fit in where they can so is taking awhile. In the meantime I have taken up sewing. Not my most fun thing. Especially some of the fiddly bits that hold the grenades but pretty happy with the outcome Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Hey dude. If u are aiming to clear this to troop I would first reach out to your gml to check they are happy with the files you are using. Geoffros files have a lot of inaccuracies u can see from Just from what u have done so far Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Some great progress here. Well done so far Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Hi. The best files I have found are from Tom Campbell. He is a forum member so u should be able to contact him by pm Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. What lancer said. Saved me the typing. First thing first is finding out if an anovos fits u Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Hey. I cannot speak for Jim's kit as I don't have one. However if it's anything like 3d print then I started with 120grit, then 240, 400, 1000 and upto 3000 on the helmet. As for Romans kit there is no build instructions I know of but I built one from reference pics. What were u unsure on? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Hey greido. Welcome onboard. I personally like the look of the 850 helmet. Saw a pic posted the other day with the colour scheme. They have done the vents and front greeblies in black rather than silvery like most makers do. A few of us have armour from Armoryshop. Are u getting raw print of painted?
