  1. Great tip, @RAIDER. Those group shots look even better when the black armour matches. If you are the 1st of the armour in your area, then shiny gloss does look epic, but will show scratches or scrapes a bit more. My shadow scout is gloss, so I wrap it in a towel when storing the armour between troops. I've to keep a can of back to black in the kit box, just in case there's a blemish on the gloss before I kit up for a troop. I'm not sure if this helps you @Irishscouttrooper. BTW, you're more than welcome to troop with Balor's Wolfhunters Search and Destroy team in the Ireland garrison if you are ever over our way.
  2. The spreadsheet is a great way to keep track on your build. Great start. Keep up the excellent work.
  3. Congratulations @Fivezero on the CRL. Thanks for all the work that was put in to get this CRL completed.
  4. This is really an amazing build thread. I love the 000. Keep up the greeat work.
  5. Congratulatioins on your approval @Jankes Make sure to request full spec ops detachment access, which will give you further access to other parts of the forum [merch etc].
  6. Good luck with your IAE searches, Chris.
  7. Great to see another shadow stormtrooper on the way. Here's the shadow Stormtrooper section of the forums - https://forum.specops501st.com/forum/15-shadow-stormtrooper/ When on the flickr app, click on the share option & copy the URL. Head back over to your forums post & paste the URL & wait a few seconds & boom, your image will appear on the post. I hope this helps.
  8. That worked perfectly. Thanks. Nice looking Shadow Scout BTW.
  9. Congratulations on your approval. Pity your images aren't showing up here on my browser.
  10. It might be an idea to see if you know anyone in your garrison near you that can give some help. Another idea is getting some tips at an armour party if there is one in your area.
  11. Congratulations on the clearance Chris. 2nd Spec Ops costume for you ??
  12. Best of luck with your build. Looking forward to seeing your build progress.
  13. You are both very welcome to the Swift, Silent & Relentless.
  14. Congratulations on your clearance, Daniel. Enjoy your troops in that fine armour.
  15. Most of us tend to use E6000 glue to bond the ABS together.
  16. Lovely. ?? We can never have enough shadow troopers in the ranks.
  17. Hi & welcome @LondonValient One thing to keep in mind is that all our costumes are built fitted to each member's body size. At you current age, you probably have some growing still to do. So keep this in mind if you are looking to build something that may fit you now & may need to be adjusted in a year or two with any extra growth. My son is 14 & I built a jawa for him as he is part of the Galactic Academy. This costume was made to my height & he wears a belt so the costume fits him & doesn't drag on the ground. As they years go by & he grows, we eventually won't need to use the belt as he grows into the costume. Unfortunately, any costumes built with ABS / resin/ 3d printing will be much more difficult to adjust with your growth. Best of luck with your costume research.
  18. Congratulations on your approval & welcome to the detachment.
  19. Looking forward to seeing you all kitted up.
  20. Thanks for this @crazas. I've ordered some & will let you know if it works.
  21. Hi folks, I have a cleared shadow stormtrooper & I'm working towards my specialist application. I've hit a snag & would like to ask the specialists here what they used to paint the silicone or latex hand guards. The CRL states that the hand guards need to be painted, but what paint sticks to silicone or latex? My hand guards are black already, so either a flexivle gloss black or flexible clear gloss should do the trick. Any help is appreciated. I'm based in Ireland, so anything that can be sourced in the EU would be the easiest. Thanks in advance.
  22. Those finger tip burns after clearing up the loose E6000 can be as sore.
