  1. I am a soon to be shadow trooper. As a trooper that will be known for being in the dark more than a typical TK, I would like to have an attached flashlight to my blaster.

First I would like to know if there is an available attachment or simple way to attach a light.

Also: is the flashlight on the blaster approval for 501st? What are the conditions for blaster modifications?

    I appreciate the help!

  2. I want a voice amplifier for my Shadow Trooper build but there’s a lot I need help with..

-Do I need a TX specific amplifier or would a classic TK voice mod work?

-Where is the best place to get said amplifier? (Cost is not important)

    -How hard is the install?

thanks in advance for the help!

Hey Mason, I'm not sure if there are any here who have done it but there are some more differences then it appears:

    • Tube stripes on helmet are blue.
    • Vocoder (chin) is silver, as you pointed out.
    • Hand plates are more square with rounded edges.
    • Chest has that white imperial cog/logo on the left breast.
    • Chest has a black flexible U shaped gasket or molded lip around all edges.
    • Back plate has a black flexible U shaped gasket or molded lip around all edges.
    • Abdomen armor's button detail/plate is inverted (as opposed to the other shadow stormtrooper).
    • Abdomen armor/cod piece has a black flexible U shaped gasket or molded lip around all edges.
    • Kidney & posterior armor is fused together as one piece (if it isn't already) and has a black flexible U shaped gasket or molded lip around all edges.
    • Belt canvas is 2 to 2.5" wide instead of the 3 to 3.5" wide of the regular shadow stormtrooper.
    • Drop boxes are longer/skinnier than the regular shadow stormtrooper.

It isn't anything really hard by any means. That U shaped gasket around the edges is just automotive 3M door seal. The only interesting part is redoing the belt to the narrower canvas, getting drop boxes that are longer/skinnier that matches the plastic of RS, and fusing the kidney and posterior armor parts.

Wow that is a lot more than I thought. I never have build a kit before as I ordered my costume from rs but I may order another and try to set it up as a BF shadow.

    Thanks for the response

  4. Anyone here ever done a shadow trooper from rs and converted into a shadow trooper from BF?

i believe the only difference would be that the BF shadow trooper needs to have a silver chin and the imperial logo on the chest plate.

Is that all or is there more that must be modified?

Okay thank you very much guys. I wrote my GMO a message.

Man there are so many other vendors for the Shadow Trooper. It is a bit anoying.

1)RS Prop Master - No acrylic coating....so i think I will not choose them

    2) IronMotion from Germany...I think they changed their material so I dont know if I should go with them

    3) Troopermaster - I have a friend who owns a Stormtrooper from him. DOnt know how nice his Shadow is, but ist acrylic capped.

    4) RWA Creations was also recommend by another Shadow because its double acrylic capped

Did you ever hear back from your GMO? I have the same question
