I agree. Do not over do it or you risk weakening the plastic too much and then it will look truly broken instead of battle scarred. I know that may sound like the point, but you still want it wearable.

Quick question, I'm going to add some green highlights. I've been told to use a neon type green to a olive green. I think neon would be to bright and olive wouldn't show against the black. So, maybe a hunter green?

Why not get the two...

 

Start with the olive, put a bit of neon in... mix it up. Paint it on....

Put a bit more neon in... mix it up, paint it on...

and so on...

 

You end up getting a nice highlight effect.

 

Stop when you think you're at the right colour.

I'd say to try the olive green, and if it isn't visible, then use the hunter's green. However, mixing it and going from there also sounds useful.

I like the silver and black look, but those green highlights came out pretty awesome. Great work so far!
