Ruck[TX]
The volume wheels on each board are nice cause you can calibrate the sound coming from each board separately then use the volume wheel on the earphones in the green circle as the master volume control. Link to comment
Ruck[TX]
The battery boxes each have an on/off switch marked with the green circles. Link to comment
Ruck[TX]
So if you don't make sure all the components are in the on position the system won't work, if you don't have the volume control adjusted you won't get any sound. So you get all this calibrated before you put it the bucket cause it's so much easier that way. Once you install everything inside the lid, and all the components are on, flip on the master power switch and adjust the master volume control and the helmet comes to life!!! You can hear fingers lightly rubbed together from across the room very clearly its amazing!!! be careful at first cause you'll think you want that sound up but the first time someone makes a load noise, WOW you'll turn it down lol. Ruck[TX]
On the back side of the earphones I bought, they have velcro attached to the ear pad. I peeled off the backing to the one pad that has the sticky part you attach to the bucket and attached it to the foam where I measured my ears to be then tucked the wires behind he helmet padding. Ruck[TX]
I got two small computer fans from a local computer store. I needed to trim there housings so they would fit where I wanted to put them. Â Â Â Link to comment
Ruck[TX]
Once I had the housings trimmed I needed to make cages for each fan. Link to comment
Ruck[TX]
I found a file folder holder at Walmart that had the metal mesh I was looking for and was black, I measured the fans width and length to get the size I needed. I also added length so I had tabs that would hold the fans to my bucket. Link to comment
Ruck[TX]
Once I got the measurement for the size of the piece I would need I took a ruler and pencil and drew lines on the mesh. I took my dremel with a metal cutting disc and cut out the piece I needed. Link to comment
Ruck[TX]
Just a little taste for now, stay tuned for the further adventures of the Ruck Show!! Â Link to comment
Ruck[TX]
Once I cut the piece out I then took the dremel and used the flat side like a sanding wheel and sanded the edges. They will be sharp so you want to dull them down a little. Link to comment
Ruck[TX]
I then took the mesh and laid the fan on it marked where to bend it then with a straight edge I bent it being careful to get as tight a bend 90 degrees as I could. Link to comment
