Best 3D Print for Death Trooper

Recommended Posts

Hello guys,

I have decided to try my hand at joining the 501st. It has been a dream of mine for a long, long time. I am interested in making a Death Trooper via 3D printing but am unsure of the accuracy of the 3D model that is availalbe to me.

This is the source. I know the helmet has some issues, that is fine since there are better ones out there, my concern is that the suit my have inaccuracies when removing the vest and other accessories that I know would not be approved. If someone could give their best 501st look over I would truly be appreciative.

This suit is accurate but they have given me a price of $199 for the file. I would rather spend that money on filament for a different set of armor.

Thank you for your help.

P.S. If anyone knows of a better/cheaper 3D model by all means spread the love.

Hi David, I have 3D printed my armour and created all the STl files for it and they are for sale.

In my opinion neither of the ones you mentioned are accurate and I originally bought the Do3D armour and was not happy so we did then ourselves.

I have two build threads on here and my armour is currently being used as the photos in the temporary CRL.

Here is my 3D printed costume build thread:

Here is my 3D ptinted Blaster thread:

If you like what you see please send me a PM on Facebook (Tom Campbell) or at TDK Props.

Cheers Tom

Thanks for the response Tom.

I really do love the build you posted, and I appreciate the in depth build instructions. I do not have a Facebook, but I am most definitely interested in the files you offered. Is there any other way you would like to communicate or should I PM you on these forums? I would like some information on the files including what exactly is included and the basic info. Thanks again for the quick response.

P.S. That blaster is amazing.

I have 3 printers, Wombot Modus 400x400x500mm build area, Wombot Exilis 250x250x330 build area and a Creatbot DX 300x250x300.

I have had problems with them all, but that is 3D printing.

There are heaps of review videos on YouTube I suggest you watch some of these and this should start you i the right direction.

This is a great list to start with:

You must do some research and take into account how much money you want to spend, what you want to print, what size print bed you want to list goes on.

Good luck.
