Woodo007[TX]
Dlt19x picked up today from my prop guy who has done the paint and weathering. Really happy with it and glad I spent those many hours sanding all the print lines I could Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2 Link to comment

Woodo007[TX]
Thx man. Little side project going on at moment also 😎 prob a bit to neat and "straight" for screen accuracy but it's a free file on thingverse. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Link to comment

Woodo007[TX]
So working on thighs and one slipped out of my hand [emoji30]and hit the floor I repaired it with superglue and then plasticard cut to shape and glued across the crack point from behind. These thighs will be the death (trooper) of me. They are such a weak spot. I have decided to glue in the ribbed inserts now. I have used E6000 to hold them in. This one I did yesterday and removed the clamps tonite. Straight away they are so much stronger and look much better Next thigh is glueing now Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Link to comment
nanotek[CMD-DWM]
Those pesky thighs! Both of mine broke at some point so feel your pain on that. What kind of coating are you giving the insides? Looking great man! Link to comment
Woodo007[TX]
Thx mate. I am thinking resin on the inside. I may do fibre glass matting but it will prob will snag my undersuit. Was thinking of doing it and then spray coating with plastidip possibly. They are a pretty close fit so I don't have a great amount of wiggle room. I already reduced my space by reinforcing the back of the ribbed sections with plasticard as they are so fragile 🙄 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1 Link to comment
nanotek[CMD-DWM]
I was considering some sort of rubber matting or similar but realised that some parts I want to slip on so resin it is. I was recommended by a fibreglass guy to use flowcoat which is expensive but adds a nice finish to fibreglass resin. Maybe check that out? 1 Link to comment
Woodo007[TX]
Thought I would share an update. Build ongoing etc. Paint soon hopefully. Picked up the ejection seat buckles from a fellow UK DT builder Another UKG trooper has started offering fan kits and I needed one for my Tk lid as well as the DT so I bought two from him. He does a standard kit and also custom kits for biker scouts and smaller kits where space is limited. Well, having an anovos means all space is a premium. I got his XS kit which is all prewired and assembled. 50mm fans. Small switch pack. Velcro pads supplied. I stuck Velcro to the back of the switch pack and with the anovos lining was able to fine tune placement. Do t get me wrong, there is not a lot of room in there but it all fits and the fans are strong! For anyone interested he can be found on FB as troopacoola Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1 Link to comment
Woodo007[TX]
Spent a good part of today coating thighs and E11d with spray putty and then sanding again. My reprinted thighs are getting there. I reduced the print files to 95% width and depth from the original and left the height the same. Still getting some rub in the middle but far better than the original thighs. Not used any resin on the outside so kept the nice details as well Been working on my E11d printed parts from toms files. Loving the size of this blaster over the blaster from Roman. They are very diff in size. TDK has a lot more parts, which means a lot more work but it is a lot more solid feeling. Being able to print it myself means I can increase infill/ strength in certain places where needed and reprint any problem parts. Hope to put lights in so spent a bit of today working on acrylic. I have bought small sample sheets of red and yellow. Don't need much. Managed to get the curve into the yellow nicely. Cut a piece of yellow 25mm wide with my dremel Put the oven on and heated to gas mark 6. Put piece of acrylic in for 10-15mins. Once out I shaped it around a piece of pvc pipe that matched the curve of the piece it needs to sit in Then just trimmed it to fit. Looks like it will work great. Cut the red piece for the hengstler also Need to speed this up. I want to take down the spray booth and get my garden back 😠especially as it is getting colder and darker in evening which is when I am mainly able to work on build Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1 Link to comment
Slay
I've very keen to see how you run the electronics in your blaster. Your build is motivating! 1 Link to comment
Woodo007[TX]
I've very keen to see how you run the electronics in your blaster. Your build is motivating! thx buddy. Need some of that motivation myself lately. Need to get some paint on some parts. The electrics are Gona be very similar to Tom Campbell's for now, however there is possibly a change happening in the UKG about blaster electronics being allowed so might look at TRamps blastfx kit going into this 😎 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Link to comment

Chaos[CMD-DCA]
Looking awesome Nick! Good to hear that the UKG might start allowing audio for your blasters. Next thing you know you'll be driving on the right hand side of the road! 1 Link to comment
Slay
Awesome! You mentioned electronics in your blaster, which sent me down a rabbit hole researching blaster electronics. I ended up at TRamp's blastfx kit. I don't think that's a coincidence. His mini scope display is the bee's knees too! Link to comment

Hoping he can work one of his displays, maybe a bigger display into it. Not heard back since. Will chase him up about it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Link to comment

After watching his demos a few times, my scoped blasters would feel inadequate without his displays in them. Woodo007[TX]
Realised I have completely let my build thread here go dead. Although us UKGarrison guys have our separate forum with build threads I was trying to update this one also on the off chance it helps someone else with their builds so I will do some copy and pasting to update So update Way, way overdue. Will do a couple of posts. First one will cover armour. Will confess to losing some motivation on this build, esp. now it's dark and cold. Hard to get motivated to go to garage and build in freezing cold. Build has still been moving on and think I am getting somewhere but the cost has also been a factor. I never really started with a budget but this is a very expensive build 🙄 Got everything laid out the other day. Apart from a few places I think I am ready for paint. To be fair I think maybe I have gone overboard with the finish but the detail is so important on this build and I only plan on painting this once so if I can spend a bit more time eliminating print lines then I have Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Link to comment

Woodo007[TX]
So helmet I am possibly going to replace my anovos with my printed lid. The anovos weighs a ton and I get a sore neck quite easily. I am very pleased with how the finish is turning out this way I can get it painted at same time and the paint will match. I can also sell the anovos and recover some money. I have also printed one at 92% for my daughter and painted it to see how well I could do with rattle cans. Oddly enough it actually fits me! Here it is next to the anovos Have toyed with painting all my armour but it took a lot of work just painting the helmet to a nice finish. Still plan on a bodyshop job. I have printed one at 96% but not assembled it yet. Will look at investing in UKswraths sound system to go in the helmet also as really impressed with it. Woodo007[TX]
Been working on E11d some more. Got lots of paint on it and swim decals now. Waiting on some white vinyl to do the pinstripe and need to do some heat effect on the end of the barrel For now I am not going to fit lights but I have left it so I can upgrade in future. I put red acrylic into the under barrel laser light, the hengstler and the rear of the barrel. Frosted acrylic in the left side of the barrel. I am not good enough with electrics and don't know anyone who is who I can get to help Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Link to comment
