Specialist and Level 2 are one and the same.  We handle that here at the detachment.  GML would not be involved for that.  Just gloss...doesnt have to be Anovos gloss...but gloss.  Other kits such as WTF, RWA, or Troopermaster do not have the gloss of Anovos. Its super glossy.  But a gloss reflection most certainly.  For me, RS out of the box isn’t sufficient.  Hope that helps clarify.

I just don’t want to buy rs if I can’t make specialist because if the color. I will add however many cans of spray I need to make specialist. That’s the ultimate goal! @Raider

Anovos .... please don’t say that word. I hope they will never bring out their shadow tk again. I didn’t know there’s a level 2 Shadowtrooper, I thought u can only reach the specialist level ? What is needed for level 2, besides a dlt19 or e11 or the black detonator box ....?  Please don’t tell me u need a cloaking device build inside your armor or a color changer from black to white, to pretend you are just a regular Stormy... if that’s needed for level 2 , I’m gonna color my armor deep red and become a magma trooper.

Definitely the left. It’s looking a lot different. Much better wouldn’t you say @Raider is it basic approvable or even specialist?

also, did you have trouble with the helmet? I believe the helmet is painted

Guys have you ever wet sanded a  complete Suit.... i can tell you it’s pretty , let’s say, RS kind... the helmet and the left thight is left, sand that tomorrow and hope it’s not raining so I can paint some more.... damn I’m tired and the beer is just 5 meters away but i can’t move ?

Oh ha my bad. On FIDS and MEPS they have different levels. Wasn’t sure we only had the one.

Friends... i proudly present the final pictures without me wearing the armor...

after 2 days of sanding and painting i am through with it.

 

dont forget i did this the first time in my life with only the help of you guys in here, so thank you to all members of the 501st who supported me with their knowledge!

4 coats... first one is primer for the 2nd, then a dry phase then 3rd as primer for the 4th coat... i sanded at the beginning and between 2nd and 3rd...

That is up to you on Specialist. Make sure you review all items. The worse we can say is to make corrections ?

@Halycon Your GML said up the gloss and you did exactly that from my perspective.  It looks good!  Let us know when you get approved!

I love the binocs too.  While we can't add it to the CRL officially you can always check with your GML if it is ok to troop with them at non-LFL sanctioned events.  It's a great accessory.

Regarding Specialist...I pm'd you, but just go create a thread and start the process.  Take up close pictures of each Specialist detail to show it's been met.  We try to make it a painless process.

Yes, regarding the gloss aspect, your GML seemed to think polish would be enough (Im not certain that would work) so I would imagine the gloss achieved by Halycon would be even better in his eyes.  You should be good so long as the rest of the build is correct.
