My Current WIP Army Sapper Costume . All soft Parts have been finished . 

Jumpsuit : A modified Propper Brand Black Prison jumpsuit with collar modifications , chevron end and button snap , and IA patches .

Boots : Weatherproof Brand Commuter boots .

Field Gear :

Suspenders were made by myself with 2inch nylon web and triglides and hooks from Blockade Runner Supply . Loops made from 1in  nylon were added to mount a removable strap that hold the chest Pouch , a modified MOLLE Ammo pouch with 2 button snaps . 

Pouches : 

2x MOLLE Handcuff pouches with Button Snaps added.

2x MOLLE Strobe Pouches.

2x Canvas and Leather MP40 pouches.

1x Modified MOLLE Gas Mask pouch with Button snaps Added . 

 

Helmet is currently being worked and Combat pack soon to follow . I am also working on the Demolition Charges as well .

Helmet shell from Jason Hill has arrived and is nearly finished , just some finishing touches . Although not that it matters .

Still finishing up a few things but this basically how it’ll look in the end . Helmet has been adjusted since the photos were taken so it doesn’t look weird when I wear it .

Army Trooper Helmet shell from Jason Hill painted with a non-reflective Black paint  . Helmet liner is an East German M56/66 Improved helmet liner minus the foam pads . Goggles are Black ESS Eye Pro Goggles.

While reviewing the comics I noticed that the Engineers have some sort of padded hearing protection. I added some square padding but will be replaced with circular . It also shows the chinstrap is mounted rather low .

back when I was building BSG Deck Gang helmets I made the outside from a custom mold and the inside was pool noodle foam wrapped in black spandex.  I will likely do the same for mine.

I redid the Trim on my helmet . Looks better with the glossy contradicting the matte black . I’m thinking a new coat of paint is due in the near future.

im liking what Im seeing.  Which gloves are you using?  It looks like the sleeve is tucked in. 

I still need a helmet, so Ill be waiting for a while on that.  But my Trooperbay pouches came in today--how did you mount your pouches to your pack? I was going to take the slanted loops off the back and make a sleeve to put back there for the belt to pass through.

They are the same gloves from the original Army Trooper ( Officer Variant) CRL with the three line stitch . Basically just black gloves i had laying around . My pouches are the hip style pouch so they have belt loops large enough to fit my pistol belt through .

Made the string of charges for the combat pack , not perfect but there’s always room to improve .

 

Its hard to say when the pack will be done as Hurricane Florence has put a damper on Crookknights production.

Pack will be completed by Crookknights this week . All that’s left is installing the lower charge and shipping. When I get it I’ll be installing the side pouch .

Out of curiosity @TX-15293 how did you mount the MP40 pouches vertical. I have a couple they have the canted mounting straps on the back meaning they go on the belt angled.

I've heard of some guys using zip ties or screws.

Ah gotcha.  Yeah I need to do a vertical mount with a set that have the angled loops in back.
