Wingman[TX]
Hi at all. I have to request the width of the Overbelt again. In the CRL it states 4cm width but this can't be if you compare the ingame reference with the real costume parts. I've used a 4cm till now but as you can see in my pictures, it doesn't match the width of the ingame shots. Can this may get changed in the CRL to 3cm-4cm as 3 would look much more accurate as just 4cm. Link to comment
Wingman[TX]
3cm and ingame shots for comparison So if you compare 3cm width with the ingame shots, it's definitely more correct than 4 cm width. What do you think and can this may get changed in the CRLs? Thanks in advance Dennis TX-50883 1 Link to comment
Blackwatch[CMD-DCA]
we can take it under review for change. I spefically remember that discussion as both Anton and Maxime were blowing my phone up all night long in our work group on messenger as they discussed the width of the belt. They were taking measurements in the game. Specifically we are discussing the overbelt, not the underbelt. Over Belt The Over Belt consists of 5 gloss black boxes made of ABS or similar plastic, mounted to a leather or leather like waist strap which closes under the thermal detonator. The waist strap is approximately 1.5" (40mm) wide. The over belt is worn around the under belt, so that the top third of the under belt shows above the over-belt. There are special-shaped boxes on left and right of the 3 central boxes which are horizontal in position as seen in reference photos. A total of 8 rivets are present with 2 rivets mounted vertically on the left and right at the edge of the special-shaped boxes. Hanging from the right side of the belt is a hip box made out of hard material. This is connected to the belt by 1.5" (40mm) wide black leather or leather-like straps. The strap is and as long as necessary to allow the box to hang on the wearers right hip. For basic L1 approval a standard Scout style hip box may be approved. The strap is attached to the front of the over-belt through a slot on the right side of the central box. The back end of the strap goes behind the under-belt, to the left side of the thermal detonator. The hip box strap has 1.5" (40mm) quick release buckles on the front and back. Each buckle is attached at the mid point of the strap. OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): The rigid front portion of the outer belt is made from the game's 3D model and scaled to the wearer. The box is smaller than a typical scout box, is curved, the back is closed with a back plate, and features a rectangular depression near the bottom out facing side of the box. The boxes may be lightly stained or weathered. Silver is not permitted. Wingman out of curiousity, and having just made my own thermal yesterday so small to tfit between the grooves of the standard officer belt, could you post a pic of your thermal as it is situated on your belt? 1 Link to comment

tipperaryred[CMD-DCA]
I too am more than happy to review this. I'd say some of the problem also comes from our underbelt. The CRL currently gives that as: "Approximately 2" (51mm) in width, up to 3" (76mm) is acceptable." (underbelt) Compared to: "The waist strap is approximately 1.5" (40mm) wide." (overbelt) On a 76mm wide underbelt, a 40mm overbelt probably would look fairly close to the in game references (relatively speaking). However 76mm would be very large for an underbelt, and I'd guess most would be closer to 50mm (my own belt included). On a 50mm belt, a 40mm underbelt definitely looks too big. So I would be perfectly fine allowing more latitude on the overbelt exactly as Dennis suggests, changing it to "approximately 30mm-40mm". The important part is that the two belts look correct together. If we allow a range of widths for one, we must do the same for the other. 1 Link to comment
Wingman[TX]
Hi tipperaryred, that's exactly the point. Thanks for looking into it and maybe change it. Looking forward to it. Thanks and cheers, Dennis TX-50883 Link to comment
