Oh that's fine then, just wanted to make sure you weren't using velcro only. Cause hand sweat will loosen the glue from the glove and then they fall off.

Yeah, I can get behind some black and red! Buckeyes, Bearcats, Reds.... Being from Cincy, I can never do black and gold.

Trying to figure out a different belt caused me a huge delay in getting my approval. I eventually just decided to go with the plastic to get my approval and have ended up using it ever since. 30+ troops now. It's held up great.

It does say it's a custom and the 501st isn't mentioned anywhere. So it's not like it's totally misleading. Most of the time anyone is looking to join up they talk to a trooper of some kind anyway, and one of the first things most people tell them is to be careful of ebay and ask us before you buy.

I thought that was a primer color. i'd say going by the ref pics, that it's way to bright. Should be a darker metallic blue/gray color

Wow, I've never had a problem with that stuff. A number of things could have caused that. Not using enough, not pre-sanding the glued area. Did you clamp the entire thing? I put the face on first and clamped through the eyes while holding the sides until it was completely dried (that way there are no gaps), then I glued on the back and had to hold it until dried. I hope that makes sense.

did you use the abs glue in the can? or the devcon/permatex plastic weld?

You can go flat black on the 02 canister/thermal detonator. You don't have to use the finishing strips, but they might improve the look. No you don't need a weapon for approval. Like that, quick and easy. I'd suggest getting different lenses as you can see through yours and the bubble lenses tend to give people headaches after awhile.

You'll want to use spray paint to get an even flat looking coat. (remember to use a primer) You'll also want to do this before it starts getting too cold.
