I've built one of the new AM kits in white for another trooper. Wish we had taken pics to help you out, but we kinda knocked it out over a couple days (oh and my camera was broke and I hadn't got a new one yet). Only thing I don't like about this versus the old FX molds is all the trimming and the lips on all the edges. Makes the work more of a pain. My build thread is on another site that takes the images down to links after a certain time period. I've pm'ed the admin to bring them back up so I can give you guys a link to it. Darth Emphatics is also there. I think it would be helpful seeing some of the mistakes we made, and some of our victories. Once the pics are back up, I'll get it posted somewhere.

Question...Why the mirrored lenses over green ones?

There seems to be plenty of references and if you show Thomas your build thread he may fly to Ohio and give you your approval in person, lol. (He builds all his own armor/costumes )

Dude! Where do you keep coming up with all these armor sets!!!??? Geez, I can't even get anyone to sell me a white FX belt and ammo box, and here you go showing up with another rare set of red! Awesome though, hope you can get it troop worthy. At the very least you could make it a set piece for the 501st room at CVI or other cons.

Well I know for a fact that there is a sea trooper out there somewhere. I saw one for sale about a year ago. Not sure if it's canon or not, but it looked pretty sweet. Can't remember which boards I saw it on, but I'll try to dig it up.

That is a personal preference. You could also paint them a flat black. I'm leaving mine as is though.

Those look sweet, what a great idea! I've been wanting to make my upper armor a pull-over but didn't want to rivet the shoulder straps for fear of them snapping. Definitely going to get a set of these after CV. Thanks for the info bro! Hey Iz, should we move this to the costume resources area?

I've trooped it. Changed out the frown mesh, added fans, and a little padding but I need to get a helmet liner. Very easy and clear to see out of. I don't generally care about a voice amp, I may do one eventually though. All in all I'm happy with it. Haven't seen any pics yet though, have a suspicion that you can see through the lenses.
