I thought about that too. you can cover it with vinyl, you know like they do with vehicle wraps when they advertise on cars. you heat it up with a heat gun for a minute then can stretch it over the details. Then remove whenever you want. (also how the Japanese chrome stormtrooper did his) The thing is getting it in the squares on the forearms will be tricky, but it should go over the cover strips and dohnut on the back piece just fine with the right amount of heat control.

Mypropcollection is AM. He sells the extra stuff not sold on the tkboots site. AM, tupperwaretk, mypropcollection, tkboots are all the same guy. it comes with all hand plates and no helmet. It runs that price because they're already made and are in less demand than the white which has a waiting list. get an ATA helmet or one from arakyel

There's some good info on fisd on dyeing/painting black to white, but if the con is weeks away and you can't find black boots, what do you use in worst case scenario? The kiwi leather dye I use for my combat boots works great on those but I tried it on some "emergency" spare white boots as an experiment and it keeps rubbing off
