  1. My first troop (unofficial) and my first real building party!!! (I am the really dirty snow trooper!)
  2. This is great! I was wondering this exact thing!!!! You are a mind reader!
  3. Awesome! I look forward to seeing more from this! They seem like a great build to work on!
  4. Yeah I now wear gloves whenever I work on my armor. I am going to a local armor party that will be all day so hopefully I will get a lot done! I will put up pics as soon as I can! Also, yesterday I went on my first troop ever! (even though it was unofficial) My garrison needed another person or two so I volunteered and IT WAS AWESOME! I went as a snow trooper! I had a great time and the kids there had so much fun along with the adults! My cheeks still hurt from grinning so much. I will put up pics of that too as soon as I can.
  5. Yeah I remember you from there! I am trying to join as well to the mountain garrison.
  6. I for one am excited to see what you have going on. Also, Colorado? I saw that and my interest was peaked since I live there.
  7. I will post pictures of more of the build. I recently have just been sanding edges. I may need pics of close up detail of the arms and legs from others.
  8. Lol ok, here is just a funny pic.
  9. Awesome! This helps a bunch! I have been looking at a few different types of foam so far and I think I found some pipe insulation that will work great.
  10. I was just wondering if there was a belt still available?
  11. Hey also just wondering, does anyone have any idea where I can get an extra ab plate button areas along with the buttons? I do not appear to have mine and my kit has not gone anywhere other than my house. I have already looked and turned my house upside down three times looking for this!
  12. Well I was at my very first function with my garrison, even without armor, and it was a blast! We did a live build demonstration and I really can't wait to get in my armor now! I wish that I could speed it all up! It is looking like I might be able to get a bunch done next week, even if I don't have boots or a belt. I will also probably be needing some fans and thermal detonator clips. Maybe even a new under armor top( I have the pants covered). Getting closer with each step though and a few questions. 1. Gloves.....I have some but they are.....ok if I don't want to be able to pick up small things. 2. is it ok to have foam in some of my armor so that it fits ok. 3. fogging up in the lenses, what should I use? 4. where do I put my radio thing? around my neck? (can I protect it from rain and other forms of moisture) 5. what can I modify so that I can move easier? Yep......they are awesome!
  13. Awesome! I wasn't expecting the pics! That totally answered three questions. I will ask more once I see the crl and see closer pics probably.
  14. Hey quick question Ty, where does the hose on the left side connect to?
  15. Finally getting my shadow built more each day!

  16. I am in the process of making mine as well and I have found that the silver sharpie markers work really well for me. To get the marks off of armor, just use rubbing alcohol. Hope this helps. ^^
  17. Yeah I have a nice little scar now from it. Well, this last weekend was Denver Comic Con and it was also my birthday June 1. ^^ I got to get an autograph and meet William Shatner, George Takei, and a few other awesome stars while there. ^^ Had a great time and got a lot of cool things to add to my room and many great memories. ^^
  18. Awesome, because I am just getting a little tired of not being able to work on my build since I am afraid to do something wrong. Also, whatever you do! DO NOT USE ZIP KICKER WHEN YOU HAVE SOME SUPER GLUE ON YOUR SKIN! I found this out the hard way and it BURS LIKE A THOUSAND SUNS! I had a small drop on my skin when I was working on my armor and now I have a nice scar from the weird blister it left behind. I am going to wear gloves from now on with this stuff. XP Once again, I feel the need to thank everyone on here for the tremendous help! You are all the best!
  19. I kn ow it is a bit of a jump, but we are getting there. Here is most of my boyfriends build. We are working on the belt and straps/velcro and such at this point. I have slowly been working on mine because I am......well.....I am really small compared to the armor so I will have to trim a lot in order for it to even fit me. I have been trying to get help with this in Colorado but it is hard since everyone in the garrison out here seems busy and my work schedule does not help at all. Do any of you have any pointers on timing the armor so that when I do start I do not take away the wrong parts. I really need help on this and I was wondering if anyone would be available to do a couple of skype calls or something. I am so confused and scared that I might mess it up that I really have not done much to my armor, which is why my boyfriend's is almost done. ;_; I really need some help. If any of you would be available to help me out, I would be forever in your debt! Even if it would be taking pictures of where you trimmed and telling me where it would be acceptable to trim would help too! Help me Special Ops! You are my only hope! I really really want to wear my armor!
  20. Yeah that is just my boyfriends armor. He is not sure if he wants to join the 501 or not. He may actually make a custom build so we will have to see there.
  21. Is it bad that this is making me drool slightly?
  22. Thanks! Just finished the helmet today. ^^ We also finished our thermal detonators, but I am not really sure how to make the clips for on the back. I was going to modify mine so that I could carry things in it but I recently got a better idea for that. Next we are going to try to work on my armor and I asked my bf and he technically does not want to join the 501 so we will not have to worry about the technical stuff. I will though. XD He also wants to do a custom paint job as well. I have always thought of the frown as a smile or at least a hint of a smile. ^^
  23. Yeah it is lots of fun to help out and I found out that I am amazing at cutting out holes in armor like the smile and such. XD
