Awesome!!! I am at three so far. The toy con and boo at the zoo and that one for JDRF.
-
XD Yeah it was great meeting you too! I had a blast! It was technically my second troop ever.
-
Looking great now that I can actually see you in the light! We will have to hang out when I start on my shadow/weir when I get the armor. ^^ This really does look awesome!!!
-
Over the wekend, I was able to borrow a friends armor and get some trooping in. ^^ Here are a few pics of me. His armor has been modded so much for comfort that he can actually spin on his back and almost sit in a lotus position!!! I was able to sit in a normal chair and moon walk in his armor. ^^ (yeah I can moonwalk) I was such a ham!

Dizzy I am going to probably do what you did with your kidney. How did you cut the cod piece because when I first tried it on it was way to big for me so I think I will trim a lot down same for the neck. As of now I can not really turn my head much with all of my armor and bucket on.

Thanks you guys! Yeah I will need to be trying to look at what every one else has done with strapping and snaps and such like that. You should have seen how much the shoulder bells covered the other armor! I had to take two inches off!!! I am really small compared to some of the armor but I feel like it is coming along great thanks to one of my friends. He has build a few armor kits, so he knows a few things. XD I am also trying to get it to fit comfortably as well as being fully approvable. Does anyone have suggestions for comfort vs approval? I am so close to being approved that I don't want to mess up now and have to wait longer than I already have. I will be trimming down the kidney a bit along with the ab plate so that my chest is not being attacked. XD There is also a lot that I have to trim with the thighs.....probably another two inches or so. The hand plates are a bit big.....not sure which side to trim there. Arms and a few other pieces will need foam. I am not sure what you mean by the chicago belt......newbie here. Also, I might try to go specalist from the get go so it would not hurt if someone could tell me exactly what to do to get mine in that category. ^^ And what is this thing that I read somewhere where there can be no visible rivets or something like that? Can someone give me an example of their connection points on their armor?

That is pretty tall! My uncle is 6'6" or 6'10". I would not mind figuring out if I am really short compared to everyone being 5'7".
-
Yeah my dad is not here yet. ^^ I am trying to get him to join though but it may be a while and he may not be able to troop because of his medical problems. I look forward to seeing more from this build! I love magmas! Welcome aboard!

Might someone kindly put up pics of their cod piece. I need to figure out how much I can take away to keep it comfortable and approval. That and there was soooooo much cutting!!!
-
OK!!!!! Taped together for a test fitting!!!

I think that I might have to do a build of this one of these years. ^^

This is awesome! Agreeing with above post though. ^^

Congrats!!!! -
Thanks! I plan on doing this as much as I can but now I am a bit leery since I passed out. I will try to prepare better next time, but I made sure to get a lot of liquids and iron rich foods.....not sure what happened this time. The other person pictured was the one who helped me organize the event. ^^ My local garrison said that by doing this we could possibly earn some patches as well so I am crossing my fingers. ^^ Also right now, I am more or less fully recovered. I do have a bit of a sore shoulder from when I hit the ground but at least the carpet was somewhat soft. I was also checked up by a nurse over the phone to see how I was doing. ^^

Congrats! Look forward to some pics!!

Awesome! This totally helps me out! I am working on a christmas present for my friend. They go to cons as a character with a bit of a glowing arm. If anyone has played Devil May Cry, they know what I am talking about.
-
Awesome! what about making fabric stick to it? Would it be possible to sew into it or would superglue or something work better?
-
XD Thanks. At least I hit soft carpet when I fainted. There was a big fridge that I could have hit or I could have fainted when I was walking over to the chairs. The one part that I was sorry about is that my dad was there to watch the whole thing. He was also the first one over to me even with his broken body. One more reason why I love him. ^^ Here is a picture of one of my best buds that also donated with me wearing a TK helmet.

Sad to say that yesterday while giving blood, I fainted afterwards while sitting in a chair eating one of the cookies. First time I ever fainted while giving blood.
-
XD Thanks! I recently put mu bucket on for another reason as well!
-
I have a question or two. What are your thoughts of hooking up EL tape under cloth? Would it get too hot?
-
Yeah I have talked about getting extra pieces so we will see how that goes. Hey where did you get your soft parts from? Did you get a flight suit or did you get something else for that?
-
Looks awesome!
-
Sweet. That is basically what I wanted to know. ^^ If there is any thing specific that was not said, please let me know. Thanks!
-
Yeah. I want to know all of the requirements and what I will need so that I can do both with the same costume, given that I can get extra parts. ^^
