  1. You're fine, and are welcome to post up suggestions and alternate components/materials. Just be aware that we aren't in a position yet to say what would be considered accurate. -iz
  2. I have some of the patches from the first run, I'll take a moment to measure it and get back to you later today, unless someone else beats me to it..
  3. If you're talking about the current CRL listed on the Legion site, that timing is out of our hands, and up to the LMOs to decide when it is no longer valid. We'll let everyone know if we get any information on it.
  4. I cannot tell you what is acceptable or not until the CRL is finalized. If you think something fits, would like to take a risk on it, go ahead. However, I will not say what is or is not acceptable, as even what is currently listed hasn't yet been deemed acceptable for the build. This is only a CRL proposal to be studied, and modified until we have something that portrays screen accuracy. This isn't a build guide, and should not be used as one at this time. If you'd rather not risk wasting time and money on possibly the wrong components, I'd suggest waiting until the CRL is fully approved and goes live.
  5. Remember that with items on the CRL, level one approval requires something to have the appearance of screen accuracy, though that may not be the case. Level two approval can be the stricter standards (I.e. modified military jacket vs custom made.)
  6. Alright, Back up and Running.
  7. Alright, Luis from the LMO team is currently reviewing this unit, and the LMOs I guess are trying to decide how to handle the other IAT unit. Stay tuned for more information.
  8. Hey ya! Not sure if you received my email. The LMOs asked me to work on the fitting issues with you. So shoot me a message when you can and we'll make sure it's 100%.
  9. Those are nice shots of the goggles. Thanks for sharing them!
  10. Awesome! Glad it's still progressing. Thanks for the update!
  11. Hey all! I'm in the middle of redoing my office area at home, so my computer is down for the next couple days. I'll still be checking in with my phone, but won't be editing CRL pictures until I get that set back up. Please continue to post things up with these costumes. Blackwatch has also been added to the CRL Team to help keep an eye on this section and answer questions. -izzi
  12. Cool, we're looking forward to reviewing your findings. The owner of the costume is working with the CRL team on this. This is a work in progress, not an official CRL as of yet. We'll look into the suggestions you've made.
  13. Started adding pictures of the components for the current kit that's in review.
  14. Just going to touch base here. If you have something that you think may work for a part of the costume and is not listed, then you can research using it, creating it, etc. If it matches p with the references we will seriously look at including it in the CRL. This goes for all CRLs. CRLs are living documents and change as each costume is researched further. Sometimes standards become more forgiving, sometimes they become tighter. However, they are always open to change in the light of new research. That being said, you have to research the item and present it as an option. We cannot support changes to CRLs that are not investigated thoroughly. This usually includes buying or building the item to have an in hand reference, knowing that it may not be usable if it's decided that it doesn't fit as the component in question. That's the risk you take when researching new costumes and searching for alternate components for existing ones.
  15. Those pictures actually do not apply to this CRL. They are wearing an officer tunic instead of a jumpsuit, and the belt, gloves and boots are different. Also the chest piece for the armor is a different style. Thanks for posting them up, but unfortunately they cannot be used at this time.
  16. Optional parts and configurations are under review. The trick is figuring out what parts are optional in standard troopers, and which parts were changed up to add personalization to face characters.
  17. As of this time, there hasn't been one suggested, however feel free to look for jackets of similar design and post them for review.
  18. Until the LMOs inspect the proposal and officially create the CRL, we cannot say which parts are "correct" for 501st approval. Only what we believe will meet accuracy standards.
  19. The soft looking parts in the back give me concerns. The front looks okay, but the soles look a bit thick. If it were me, I'd keep looking. The hunters bay boots right now seem to be the best match and they're on eBay.
  20. Awesome. Post a link too, if you still have it.
