CRL Development - Imperial Army Sapper (Complete)
ShovelGuy replied to Blackwatch's topic in Imperial Army Sapper
Yes I am . Having talked with Matt Nelson , who designed the 3D illustration of the Combat Pack and with Crookknights we all agree that the frame makes no sense as there is no evidence in the artwork to say their is a frame . Atleast when my pack is built it will not include a frame . -
Still finishing up a few things but this basically how it’ll look in the end . Helmet has been adjusted since the photos were taken so it doesn’t look weird when I wear it .

Helmet shell from Jason Hill has arrived and is nearly finished , just some finishing touches . Although not that it matters .

So what is everyone’s thought on the pack . I’m not thoroughly convinced that it has a pack frame . It appears to have a flat back face similar to the heavy weapons trooper pack . m -
I should add this is following the purposed CRL

Another pair is on order that will be painted green .

Here’s my WIP Engineer / Sapper Field Gear . I did buy those Communter boots and I agree that they are very accurate. -
Actually decided to put on the costume . The pouches need a little bit of adjustment but are in the proper spots like in the comic . Boots are also more accurate , being much shorter than the German Style boots . Since In the Comic they are covered in mud I am unsure of what the actual color is . Still working on the gloves . https://imgur.com/a/PsS4KwC

After looking over the comics and browsing the web I’ve gotta say these Weatherproof Commuter boots are probably the closest boots to the ones from the comics . I just ordered a pair , should get here around the same time as my MP40 pouches .

I think I’m probably going to go the 3rd party hosting route . It’ll be easier to post more detailed photos .

I’ve got all the pouches on order or modified. Should be getting an Army Helmet shell within the next few weeks to start on the helmet . Also I’ve been looking over the panels again and I think Chelsea Boots most closely match the design from the comic . -

Reworked the front flap so it’s a straight edge . I gotta say it looks better . Unrelated : is there a cap on how many photos we can post ? Says my attachments are full .

Just finished the suspenders and figured out how to mount the chest pouch , excuse the OD pouch the black one has been ordered and on its way . I made a removable cross strap that has a slot for the MOLLE strap to slide into . -

Collar will eventually be fixed as well as the flap . I'm going to leave the waist pockets in for structural reasons . I'm thinking a scratch made coverall may be ideal but may have to wait .
