  1. Looks like you're off to a great start Allan! Great choice of boot, too.
  2. Looks pretty good so far. The Specialist app will come down to how things look all together. So far I don't see any issues with your build or setup. Keep it up!
  3. I'd pass on that glue. Pick up some E-6000 and some super glue like Gorilla Glue. ABS glue is no bueno.
  4. Have you made any progress on this build? It's looking really good!
  5. Looking really good Doug, keep up the fine work!
  6. Great idea Greg, it does make it much easier via Tapatalk.
  7. Wow, that's crazy. But sounds like you'll have your goodies soon!
  8. You could try a shoe stretcher. That may do the trick. http://www.target.com/p/kiwi-shoe-stretcher/-/A-13994826?ref=tgt_adv_XS000000&AFID=google_pla_df&CPNG=PLA_Shoes%2BShopping&adgroup=SC_Shoes_Top+Performers&LID=700000001170770pgs&network=g&device=c&location=9026809&gclid=CIOL2PSS3c4CFQIaaQodrukMWw&gclsrc=aw.ds
  9. For the leg shims, typically on top. For the sides, it'll work best underneath. I think the chest/back will be fine provided the top joins are not too far apart.
  10. Nice buckle. You'll definitely want to get something closer to the screen used buckle, though. The CRL is still a WIP but would think the buckle shape needs to be close to the target shape for basic approval. We'll see how that pans out. Check out Mark's DT build here as you might get some ideas from it. He's taken the lead on developing the CRL and tracking down parts and pieces. http://forum.specops501st.com/index.php?/topic/4184-marks-death-trooper-build/page__fromsearch__1
  11. Welcome to Spec Ops Chris! It looks like you have a nice set of armor there. To fit your frame, you will need to adjust the armor and add some shims to fill in the gaps a bit. The sides will need to come together some and be at least 2-3" or so apart. The chest and back portion should be fine as it fits more like a "clam shell" over the top. Did the kit come with spare ABS plastic?
  12. Yep, it's ABS plastic and it does come non-textured. You should be able to find it in "sheet" format. Send a PM to Scootch on this forum. HIPS would work but it's typically not as sturdy as ABS plastic.
  13. Cool idea and I think it looks pretty good Clint.
  14. No worries, and feel free to post questions when they come up. Ultimately, you want some spare black ABS plastic, sheets preferably. You could reach out to Scootch on this forum and see if he has some available, or maybe even Jeff at Studio Creations. The other alternative, using painted plastic, could work but would be hard to color match. I think the shims would look off if you chose that method.
  15. Wow, very cool Clint! What is the overall weight of the backpack?
  16. Well, technically these threads are already listed within the proper bucket (DT or ST). Adding that to the title just makes it easier to see which bucket it belongs to, without actually looking at the bucket (category) listing. Mark - you can actually edit your posts and do this, if you want. Just go to the first topic post, click edit, then Use Full Editor. And you can edit the title right there.
  17. Welcome to Spec Ops! The first pair on your list look the best. Good price, too.
