  1. Yep, you are good to go. Since the inside of the bucket is black, just cut the holes and you are done. You do not need any mesh or black cloth on the inside. That's a carry over from the classic white scout CRL. Let me know if you need any other help or clarification.
  2. Which is what you needed to do! For Specialist, that's a requirement and you do not need mesh or any material behind it. So, the ear looks good to me!
  3. Got a picture? That would help determine what you did and how to proceed.
  4. Having served as DL here for 2-years, and assisted with the creation of the Spec Ops new costume process, I agree with Toddo. Follow the steps and this one will be good to go. Great work overall Dan!
  5. Looks amazing Dan. I think just the blaster. There is a fellow making some nice ones on the RPF. I ordered one last week. It's black rubber with an aluminum core. It'd be perfect for you. http://www.therpf.com/showthread.php?t=244780
  6. I found this one, but it's another PS job. Still looks pretty cool though.
  7. That looks like a Photoshop job to me. It has the exact same highlights on the forehead as the first pic in this thread.
  8. I have this Storm Commando statue (an awesome gift from the Detachment). Note the E-11. The reference pics you mentioned are all we really had on this guy. In the end, we decided to do a "realistic" version, based on the classic white scout. And, when or if someone wanted to do the comic or statue version, awesome. It only requires someone with the drive to do it and create the character and CRL. So if you want it, go for it! We are all behind you and it will be the first.
  9. The Shadow Scout (like mine below), is an all black version of the classic white Scout as seen in ROTJ. The Storm Commando has different bicep armor, snout, boots, belt boxes, etc. And, carries different weaponry. Chef may chime in with more history and detail, but as of this date nobody has done a true Storm Commando. I say go for it man, be the first! http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Storm_Commando_armor
  10. Awesome work Dan. Glad we could get the technical stuff worked out and get you on the forum!
  11. Technically, that's a Storm Commando, not the Shadow Scout we have today. As of this date, nobody has done a true Storm Commando.
  12. He's really doing a superb job and cranking out lots of sweet armor! Walt is my armor hero!
  13. I held a TK lid from them today. It was super nice but the frown was a bit wonky.
  14. Agreed, he's doing a great job on all sorts of boots. His TFA boots rock too.
  15. Or, how would one prove it was 2 or 3 piece, if built correctly? You could always fill the seams, and make it appear like a 2 piece helmet on the outside. But, I'm not a fan of the AM helmet and would recommend the Arakyel helmet from a member of Spec Ops. I still feel the 2 vs 3 is way overly picky and could be modified to look the part if you were so inclined.
  16. You'll do fine and Toddo has given you some great advice. Reach out here if we can help. Welcome aboard!
  17. I love that setup with Kylo in the center, Tre cool! Agreed, Animefan makes some awesome stuff and I follow his work on the RPF too.
  18. Agreed! I have a nice Redkap mod for both my scouts. Good stuff and the base suit is very affordable.
