  1. Nils, if it comes to that, can i come over to you and would you help me fix it, with that painting stuff.... i've seen you have many costumes, you look like a real pro.
  2. Hope that step is not necesary , painting a complete armor is something i don't really wanna do by myself, maybe if someone helps...
  3. thnx Zac, should be completely tomorrow be prepared for the finish ^^
  4. Jesus... if that’s true i would like to join some us garrison ?, can’t believe I threw all this money away...,,
  5. Yes it’s from RS, and it’s a pretty good blaster, I can definitely recommend it.
  6. And i changed the color of the lenses from red to blue, with a more realistic look... and here the paint works for the used look... thats it for today, now dry baby
  7. Here we go with an update. After sanding and new painting i used a hairdryer on the wet color on top, to give it a kind of a worn and chipped look. I probably use some silver and rust color mix when its completely dried on that parts, to make it look like a real in the field binocular.... stay tuned!
  8. I use a polish from "Armor All" , recommended by a SpecOps brother, pretty good stuff ...
  9. Its ABS, and the CRL says ABS with gloss is working fine. I just used some polish and the pictures never get close to how it looks in real, believe me, its glossy enough. See it like this: the guys with the mirror bare armor are more the parade guys, while i see myself like a tactical nocturne shadow... ready to become the night and get unseen to accomplish the mission.
  10. Thanks brother, can't wait to get the email....
  11. you made my day :D 3 weeks gone. the answer should be there soon.
  12. Nah sorry, i just got the printed parts from a vendor. Sanded the front parts and painted it black. The lenses are cut out of clear plastic i had at home, then put some red reflecting foil on the inside of the eye parts. I get my new dremel next week, i think ill work on it next weekend again. Thnx for the replies bros, really apreciateted.
  13. Greetings SpecOps brothers.... what do you think about my self made binoculars? Should i sand the surface or leave it like that, i think it looks kinda more used if i leave it like it is. greetings Sebastian
  14. Pretty bad i found this thread just now, my shadow is made by RS props and my application is still pending. here is a picture of me wearing it, what do you think, is is glossy enough for the 501st?
  15. Greetings TX, i bought my shadowtrooper Armor at RS Prop Masters in the UK and there is also a Vendor called IronMotion in germany... RS props sells it in ABS, which is CRL like. IronMotion sells it even with an kit called "high glossy", so you can choose between ABS gloss and high gloss.
