My Tandy Leather pack arrived today, including more snaps, belt clips for my TD and Chicago screws which has allowed me to attach the ab plate like so...

A guy over here from TAG, we've nicknamed him Q as he's always on the build with something new lol He's just started posting about them over on FISD in the For Sale section..... Here :)

Hey Thanx Tony, Q's got my name on the next list. Pure awesomenessisity? :laugh1:

No worries :)

Q's an absolute genius around these parts. Approved 8 costumes in his first year and built pretty much every gun going from scratch.

These binders are fantastic, right down to the last detail of having a magnet between the clasps to lock them together. :)

Can I get some advice please?

Someone just told me that the AM TD is not approveable? Is this correct? Going off the fact that Panda made his own style of clips for this?

I've already fixed my holster clips to the AM TD, but I also have a pair of regular clips on standby.

Ideally I'd like to stick with the current TD if possible as it matches the armour and my aim is to achieve Specialist.

Next someone will tell you the AM butt plate isnt approvable if it doesn't hug your cheeks right..

The crl says "2-2.5 inches in diameter", giggity, I think the am td is right at 2.5, but I haven't assembled mine yet. Though the crl for a white stormtrooper td says 2-2.68 inches. Even then I don't think that matters.

Haha, nothing like a hugging butt plate :D

Yeah I double checked with the CRL and my Garrison, it's all good :) .... Winning!!

Thanks Al, but I pretty much have the canister put together now, and think I have a way to fix it in place nicely too ;)

I'll just keep the other clips for my next build which won't be an AM kit but the latest version

Thanks Nick :)

Still just waiting for that E6000 so I can start putting the armor together though :P

Yeah the binders are awesome, really sets off the Shadow Trooper and gives it that extra edge in my opinion

Straight back into it, no messing about, have to make up for lost time...

Sanding down the edges to be glued. A ladies nail file is great for most of the sanding work, but I switched to 60 sand paper to really get into it and make the glue hold.

Getting fully prepared, blue tape to highlight the areas to be glued and assist with any overrunning. The infamous E6000, and small resealable bags...

IMAG1288_zps2f3c0c79.jpg

Here's what I'm using the small resealable bags for...

Squirt a small amount into the bag, quickly seal it up and screw the top back onto the E6000. Straight away you're avoiding any runny gooey mess from the top of the E6000 and keeping your selected amount of glue fresh. Push the glue down towards the bottom of the bag with a piece of card and then slice a small corner of the bag, thus making something similar to an icing bag which allows you to apply as much glue as you like and simple to handle... Seems to be working for me...

Now have both biceps (only one side at a time), an arm and a leg all glued, clamped and earth magnets in place... until tomorrow smile.gif

Haha, the next thrilling installment in the adventures of Black Wolf! :D

Not that thrilling ... just lots more gluing to be done later on today :P

One thought I'm considering is attaching the soft belt to the ab panel via chicago screws rather than snaps leaving it there as a more permanent fixture...only an idea for now though, more nervous about hammering snaps into the ab panel as it's around the curve on the left and right hand sides.
