Thanks so much, Dorothy. I agree - we are limited on clear screens. I'm working on a download of the full trailer to see what I can get out of a frame by frame view. I'll post what I come up with. So far, I have only seen the one ground variant.

Link to comment

As things currently stands there are two versions of the ground - the one circled above and then what we could call the 'heavy trooperc that has the ammo best. We may have a third if Gideon Husk shows his face in the game. If not, he's the same as the heavy.

I kind of found a pic it seems its the same one i came across so we definitely need a clear view. One thing I was wondering for just the ground types do they also get one of those super cute I-9 droids or is just the one lady?

Link to comment

Okay so I have a question regarding all this talk about ground and pilot variants. Is it possible that they are the same characters with removable chest boxes? If you look at the trooper with the bandolier that kicks the Rebel. Then in the scene where the Death Star II explodes it appears to be the exact same trooper asking the Commander what they are gonna do. The only difference is that he is wearing the chest box.

So why don't we consider the chest box to be an optional piece?

I am curious as to the differences between the R1 TIEs and ANH TIEs...I don't remember seeing them in the movie and I can't find any stills online. Also, it looks like only Iden Versio has the indented rectangle on the trident. The ground troop pic in the OP do not have it.

Link to comment

I will check about the indented rectangle thing. BTW the CRL's for this costume in particular are being worked on as a team collaboration so there may be some updates as this is not the final version of the CRL.

Is there a timeline when to expect the final crl?

My wife is interested and I would like to know when to start safely.

I would hazard a guess and say; at least until the game drops so that all details can be confirmed. The game is still in development with the final release date in November.
