  1. It all fits pretty well on me but there are a few problem areas that need to be smoothed still. It does feel funny since my forearms can actually spin around. XD I will take a video to show you all. I think I need a body muscle suit for any future builds.
  2. Nice! Going great so far! Keep up the great work! I know that if I was close by I would so come by to help you out.......and maybe try to help you find that tank that you deserve!
  3. So my armor is more or less going to have to stay as just one piece until later when I mod some of it. Here is a few more updates. I think I am literally just gluing on snaps and shining armor to get ready for pics.
  4. Ok, quick pics of some of my snap setup.
  5. Does anyone know how to flip the straps on a pauldron so that the black side is on top instead of the orange? I can't really paint right now since it is so cold and I thought that that should be a simple solution for it so that I can do specialist. On another update, I am waiting for glue to dry, literally. I have test fit all of my snaps and hopefully by the end of the day I will be ready for pics for my application.
  6. I will actually be working this Saturday for most of the day in Englewood, so unfortunately I can't make it but I will be down for Galaxy Fest and I will be at the Ice Castles photo shoot.
  7. Great progress Lance! Keep up the great work!!!
  8. Thanks! I had to stop everything for a little bit but as soon as I get home today from work I will be uploading a bunch of pictures on the snaps and such.
  9. Wow! That is chilly there......um.....the highhere in Colorado today was about 60. XP
  10. So as many of you know......or will know I am pretty small in the body size area. I recently got my hand plates down to my size and tried to get the return edges back on them. Hope this is good but I may need to go over them with sanding and then polishing to get that shine back. What do you thing so far? (Also I just noticed that cut on my hand and I have NO idea where it came from)
  11. Are you going to the con that I think you are? If so I will see you there! Also, that is sad about your boots. I hope to get approved before then.
  12. You can count on me to chime in every once in a while.
  13. Ok, I fixed the problem with the super glue and I have almost all of the snaps finished. Had a few drips though with the super glue. Nothing I could not fix.....except for it going on my jeans. It is a good thing I have a specific pair of work jeans. I am going to try to make a slip cover for the shiny patten leather to go over my belt. If not I will just glue it down. We will see. This week is going to be a fun time trying to get everything ready for specialist!
  14. Ah! Ok. I was thinking that I am going to snap my belt to the ab plate so that is doesn't sag so much. I really hate being so small. Some of my local garrison members are going to try to make me into C3PO once I get accepted. So far almost all of the snaps are in place. I am going to try to make a sleeve for the belt so that is something happens to it, I can fix it easily. Trying to get this build finished is driving me nuts!!!
  15. Ok, have a bit of an SOS here! How am I supposed to use the snaps if they keep popping off of the armor from the super glue!?! Does everyone just have one snap or two?
  16. More progress pictures!!! And yes! I am going for specialist! Here are the closed drop boxes finished!!! Closed drop boxes finished!!!
  17. Ok, another question. How should I mount the patten leather material to the belt? Should I make a sleeve of the material so that it can slip over the belt? I was thinking of permanently attaching it to the canvas belt I have.
  18. This actually does help a bunch! I would love to see it as a shadow but it should work for right now. Curious as to what the snaps are connecting to on the front part.
  19. Thinking about it though. I could have the V separate and have it attach/have the connection point where the red stops so that it will not be noticeable.
  20. Magic. But seriously I think I have a plan. I will have to talk to a few people about all of this but if I can pull it off, it will be awesome and I will be a pioneer in it all.
  21. Aw! Sad deal about the plastic. Hope you can get everything straightened out. This really is an interesting build!
  22. Ok, quick question, would it be acceptable to have the V on the belt as a separate piece where it could magnet on as long as there would be no visible seams?
  23. Ok, so I have literally just finished putting on all of the male snaps onto my armor. I was wondering now about the belt and a few other parts. For the blaster holster: Is it supposed to be firmly fixed to the belt my rivets? (or something else) Or can I just keep the loop system I have where it loops over the belt? Another one for the belt is that I have the patten leather material I will use to cover my belt with for specialist but I am not sure how to attach it. Should I use some sort of fabric glue or super glue or is there a different way to do this? How does everyone attach the leg ammo belt so that it stays and does not move? Last.....maybe is if I want to use mostly snaps with nylon, where will I absolutely need elastic? I was thinking just in the cod piece/butt plate connecting area. I can post pics if anyone needs to see what I am talking about. These are hopefully the last of my questions before I start asking if I am accepted yet!
