  1. So. The term specialist gets a little confusing. Are you referring to the specialist variant of the costume or level 2 requirements which are not fully defined at this point?
  2. Got it. Definitely get the Jared's. That, or an exact match will be an LET requirement, what we call specialist...Hence the confusion.

  4. One piece is fine. One piece is also allowed for centurion over at FISD. If you do for it, which you can, there should be no visible gap.
  5. Only if someone is actively working on the costume to bring it to the legion. From a crl perspective, the differences are minimal. We could convert the existing shadow Stormtrooper and FISD RotJ stormtrooper pretty easily.
  6. Hi Carlos, all the approved weapons are in the CRL. You can do the hold out blaster, E-11, or DLT-19.
  7. I noticed that with a few pieces. Seems like more color disparity in the small pieces and the large. Like in the chest and the shoulder straps. Not the end of the world, but a little odd the kit is that way. At first, I just wondered if it was lighting.
  8. Looking good. Congrats on submission and an awesome build that needs to be linked in the tutorial section. I'll make sure that happens.
  9. E-6000 is the old faithful because it can be pulled apart later and cleaned off. If you know it will never ever need to come apart again, you can use actually plastic meld, but there are risks there. It essentially melts the plastic together. If you have a strain point that ends up needing to flex a lot, the meld won't give which means the piece may break eventually. With E-6000 it is more likely that the glued pieces will give and separate instead of snapping.
  10. It's pretty amazing how costuming gets you doing things you would never have done before. I've learned a lot of new skills through this hobby. It definitely got me sewing more too, especially for some of my non-star wars costumes....I know, blasphemy.
  11. Depends on your definition of canon, but legends is still acknowledge as a part of star wars if not in the main story as it exists now. In the end, it doesn't really matter and it won't be an issue in 99.9% of troops.
  12. Oh, and conventions are never movie Canon only. It's possible there could be one thing at a con where they need a specific cosrume, like a TFA stormtrooper, but you could absolutely troop celebration or any other event like that.
  13. Hi Larry, welcome. The shadow scout is canon, just not movie Canon. As far as events, I wouldn't even worry about. 99% of troops for any garrison do not have movie Canon restrictions. Even the garrison that hVe more of these types of events like so cal or Florida, still the vast majority of troops are open to any 501st approved costume. We have 2 or 3 troops a year with a any kind of restriction. Thats among 100's of troops. The shadow scout is an awesome costume and I wouldn't hesitate to do it.
  14. The (your) left looks better than right, but they both could be trimmed so they don't stick out as far, but even so, I wluldnt go crazy worry about how it is right now.
  15. Only black tube stripes and no cog decal for approval.
