Nice! That's how I got my scout armor as well.

Also, how are the helmet ear gaps? When I did my first shadow stormtrooper build, I shaved down the curve so it fit better and wasn't quite so thick and then boiled the ear pieces (only a few second dunk in boiling water) and reshaped them enough so the gap essentially went away. ABS boiling works very well. Got to be more careful when working with hips.

Hang in there - it will come together and be awesome in the end. I do recommend putting a piece of tape on the armor where you put the magnet just to protect a bit from impressions. You might already be doing this, but I wanted to put it out there.

I am loving this! The existing crl's will still provide a nice framework from which to move forward. First step is identifying the basic pieces and if they are fett or clone. From there details can be hashed out.

What you can do in the back is use a shim and then taper the cover strip to cover the gap. It would look like this (in white)
