Well, if you've been around here long enough you may have heard me mention that this is my dream build. It's something I have wanted to do for a very long time. With Ty's help in moving the bucket along, I figure it's time I post up a thread and start working on everything else. There are going to be a lot of questions, especially with the generation of the Jedi Knight II game. The models aren't as detailed as you would hope. My first question for our awesome detachment is if anyone has the star wars Guide to Weapons and Technology book. There is a reference to the Shadowtrooper in there, but I am not sure exactly what it is. If not, I will probably end up buying one, but worth checking first. A big decision I will need to make is if everything will need to be custom sculpted or if a clone or TK provides enough of a base to build up from.

When I saw this I was thinking how it would be awesome to hook up a small compressor that could blow air from the nozzle and install an orange light in the end to light up when air is released. I am talking low pressure, nothing crazy.

I think it is going to be a pain to wear, probably like the Sith Acolyte, but I cannot wait to get this one done. Ty, you are my hero. And, I am sure I'll call on you for help when I run into walls on the armor

Hey Isiah. I can make amazon suggestions on a rivet gun, but most are made equal and would get the job done. Where do you plan on using the rivets? Have you been in touch with your local garrison? Any armor parties coming up? While the armor is black, it is pretty much the same as its white counterpart so anyone with build experience will be able to assist you . Nothing like in person help and we can be there to answer the specifics.

Oh, yeah, get that Scout done. On/off is definitely easier.

I've been there, man. I was finally able to use one of ourbspare bedrooms when we moved into our current home back in 2007, but man was it a pain to get little plastic bits out of the carpet.

The standard batting they sell at most fabric stores should do the trick. You don't want it to be super thick. You'll want some thicker stuff to keep shape for your pouches. I've got some cut down hard drive packing material in mine.
